Our AC installation crew arrived at a commercial property this afternoon to begin tear down of their air conditioning equipment. Once tear down was complete, crane arrived and removed existing unit and placed new equipment onto curb. Our technician connected all all components, sealing ducting and ran new drain line. System was tested in both heating and cooling. New A/C is operational and working well.
Standard fall HVAC PM performed at a chiropractor's office in Monrovia, California. Single 3 ton BDP unit, inspected and prepped for heating season, filters replaced. Unit is older but running well at this time.
Emergency service requested at a chiropractor's office in Monrovia California. Site reported a copper pipe was leaking water and they believed it was from the AC. Upon arrival, our commercial HVAC technician found that the pipe was actually a pressurized 3/4" copper pipe that would need a plumber to repair. Confirmed that no leaks were coming from the air conditioner, updated manager on duty to call in their plumbing contractor.
Responded to a report from our customer's alarm company that one of their HVAC units had tripped their alarm. Upon arrival, found the #2 Lennox air conditioner with a tripped breaker due to a grounded compressor and bad contactor. Disconnected the circuit and tested circuits #2 and #3. Found a bad condenser fan motor on circuit #2, and the blower motor not coming on due to a faulty VFD. Requested VFD from provider, will source and quote the other parts ASAP. Confirmed remaining units are functional through EMS.
RESSAC technicians returned to big box retailer at the Huntington Oaks Shopping Center to completed quoted work. Technicians replaced grounded compressor and defective condenser fan motor on 20 ton Lennox unit. They also washed coils and repaired an electrical short. Retrofit is complete.
Dispatched to home goods store in Monrovia CA. Alarm panel was showing "trouble 3 smoke zone, roof duct AC4 and AC6". Inspected all six Lennox units on the roof. Repaired electrical short on unit #2. Unit #4 has defective Copeland scroll compressor. Unit #6 has shorted crank case heater. Reset fire panel alarm and cleared all trouble. Will return once quote is approved to complete all work.
Preventative maintenance on HVAC. Tested all units in heating to prepare for fall/winter.
