Dispatched our refrigeration technician to an office in Riverside, CA, to replace a manufacturer warrantied compressor on a cooler. While pumping down the system, our technician noted that there was little to no refrigerant. Used leak detector and bubble test but was not able to locate leak. Spoke to manufacturer to confirm status of additional warranties. Will quote leak search to customer, holding new compressor at site until secondary repairs can be made.
Electrical run completed for major HVAC installation project in Riverside, California. High voltage and 120 ran for DHU #9, connected and system programmed. Confirmed all operations were complete with EMS.
Inspected a break room refrigerator for an office in Riverside County. The technician tested all components, including motors, electrical components and refrigerant pressures. Determined that the compressor had failed and will need to be replaced. Compressor should be under warranty.
Approved HVAC repairs scheduled for a Riverside, CA, health center were scheduled today. The #2 York unit had a broke drain line that our commercial tech repaired. He also pressure washed all coils.,
Dispatched our commercial refrigeration technician back to a restaurant in Riverside, California, to follow up on repairs of an ice machine. Cycled system and tested amp loads until the unit produced ice. Confirmed pressures are accurate and electrical components good. Unit does need a comprehensive cleaning to remove calcium build-up and evidence of mold on the outside of tubing. Will quote recommendations to the customer.
A retailer at the Galleria at Tyler in Riverside, California, was scheduled today for pre-approved HVAC repairs. Multiple air conditioners needed work done to bring them back up to spec. Our technician replaced the crankcase heaters on three units and troubleshooted a failed damper actuator. Unit #1 received a new economizer screen, and our tech troubleshooted another unit that was not communicating. #3 had a failed compressor that we will need to quote out. Unit #2 will require a new actuator for the damper. All other A/C units are up and running again except for the issues on #2 and #3.
Approved A/C repairs scheduled today at a commercial property in Riverside County. Their #1 Lennox system had a failed compressor and bad crankcase heater that needed replacing. Our technicians swapped out the compressors, replaced the liquid line dryer, crank case heater and contactor. Confirmed charge holding and recharged with refrigerant. Tested system and checked out with EMS, all units operational at this location now.
Fall Air Conditioning Maintenance was scheduled today for a customer in Riverside California. Standard heating inspection was completed, all components tested for winter and filters replaced. No deficiencies found during PM, job complete.
Returned to a commercial property in Riverside CA today to install ordered carbon filters to help reduce discomfort for store employees due to smoke from nearby fires. No other issues found on the units at this time, filters installed successfully.
A health center in Riverside County requested service on their Traulsen freezer that was spiking high temperatures. Upon arrival, our technician found the unit low on refrigerant with a dirty condenser coil. Cleaned the coil, repaired the discharge service valve and recharged the system. Freezer back to -5 degrees and functional. Job complete.
Responded to a no-cooling request at a Riverside County commercial property. Our HVAC technician found no power going to the unit. Found the breaker in the electrical panel off, not tripped. Was told by the manager on duty that a sign technician had been out working on their light-up signage the day before. Labeled the breaker as RTU #1 to avoid issues like this in the future. Once powered on, system is working well with a 52 degree supply temperature.
A restaurant in Riverside California reported that the cooling drawer for the raw meet was not working properly. Our refrigerant technician arrived and inspected the unit. Found the cooling drawer operating as expected, no issues with the electrical or refrigeration parts. The drawers however are bent, wheels damaged and rails off-center. Will need to order new wheels and tracks for the drawers. Site will need to push hard on drawers in the meantime to make sure they shut correctly.
Responded to an urgent refrigeration call for a commercial customer in Riverside California. Our service tech found their Traulsen freezer running at 40 degrees and repeatedly tripping the breaker. Diagnosed the problem, found a potential relay burnt and a failed capacitor. A short circuit caused the electrical outlet to burnout as well. Sourced necessary parts from the local supplier, return and replaced the electrical outlet, relay and capacitor. Tested system and waited for it to return to correct freezing temperatures. Job complete.
