Dispatched our San Francisco CA HVAC technician to a retailer on Post Street. Site requested a second opinion inspection of their system, as it had been recommended for replacement by another contractor. Our tech inspected the site and determined that the air handler is indeed in need of replacement, as the housing, drain pan are rusted, there are signs of leaks at the TXV and oil on the line set. No disconnect box found, switch only. Hard ceiling would need to be broken to access AHU for replacement. Will discuss status with customer, as they may need a general contractor for this particular job.
