Emailed Scot all long term solutions on the existing 47 year old furnace and evaporator coil that has potential safety hazards from the age and style of the heat exchanger and the evaporator coil that is substantially clogged with dirt and debris and has evidence of water leaking through the furnace from the AC operation. The 40 year old single stage AC condenser that has obsolete R22 refrigerant is still operational. It is using a lot of power compared to the new systems. The air ducting is mostly asbestos from the original home build and is leaking air and not delivering adequate air flow to the rooms. This is due from the substantial dirt in the coil and the poor condition of the air ducting. Recommend replacing the system to save up to 60% on utility bills in the summer and considerable savings in the winter and natural gas.
