After water leaked in the master bathroom and closet, we performed water damage mitigation. Once the bathroom was properly dried down the customer requested a cost for repairs to the areas of the bathroom that were damaged. The customer advised they are not filing an insurance claim and will be paying out of pocket. Below is the proposal for those repairs.
The supply line for the master bathroom toilet burst causing flooding throughout the bathroom area and master bedroom closet. The invoice is for performing water damage, mitigation throughout the affected areas and does not include any repairs to the damaged areas that will be performed on a separate invoice.
Arrived and found that the customer master bathroom toilet supply had burst at the plastic tank nut. The angle stop would not shut off. Also found main water shut off, a 1” gate valve, was not working. The pressure reducing valve was also not working. Tried to shut off water service at the meter and the property side valve was also not shutting off completely. The customer requested that I replace all multi turn angle stops with 1/4 turn valves and provide a price to replace the laundry room faucet. There were also 2-1” hose bibs that were dripping. One outside the master bathroom, and the other outside the garage. Th

Customer has a water line leaking in concrete clay behind refrigerator he would like repaired. Customer wanted copper line jackhammered up to show inspector. Did not repair like. Only exposed copper pipe and took pictures of hole and patched concrete.
Customer wishes to have estimate to perform whole house repipe. Performed whole house repipe, connecting to customers water main where it enters the house. After re-pipe I noticed customers re-circulating line had no timer on it and was constantly running. Recommended adding timer to prevent extra wear on water lines.
Customer had previous plumber out for leak detection. Previous plumber had all manifolds cut and capped on hot water side leaving customer with no hot water. Quoted customer 425.00 for leak detection for the first 2 hours and 195 for every hour after that. This price does not include re-connecting manifolds. Also quoted customer around $18,000 for full repipe of house.
