People share horror stories about contractors, but I experienced a fantasy-like experience. Gary and team were the second team to take a run at a period-appropriate remodel of my 1930s home. They were courteous, conscientious, brought the highest-quality workers and created a home I’m delighted with (they fully remodeled four bathrooms with miles of intricate tile work). Where there were “surprises,” they were never of Gary’s making and he and the Schuelke team always help me do things the right way (I plan for this to be my “forever home.”). I cannot recommend them more highly. I’m delighted!

Had a leak causing mold. Wanted it fixed asap. These guys did a good job. But it was way too much $. I regret not negotiating for a better deal or getting a second opinion.

Customer has sever water damage to master bathroom and surrounding walls due to a burst pipe. Recommend performing proper mitigation to avoid further issues. Estimated time frame of project is subject to change depending on several factors such as waiting on confirmation from insurance as well as any change orders that may be needed to be submitted for extra work. Start date of water mitigation will be 10-23-25. An estimated time frame of 5 days to complete this portion. Includes necessary demolition, and drying time. Repipe is estimated to take approximately 3 days. Once mitigation is complete we can submit final estimate for repairs to insurance. Once final estimate is approved we can behind with repairs to bathroom
Removed several walls, part of ceiling, as well as some flooring in bathroom to perform mold mitigation. This estimate is for repairing of walls and painting. Due to the tile panels on ceiling explained to customer we won’t be able to match existing paneling. Only way to match would be to remove entire ceiling and install all new drywall. Does not include repairing of flooring or baseboards

Actuators for men’s facuet are wearing out. Recommend replacement of both hot and cold side Replaced actuators and cartridges to restore proper function to faucet
Installed re build kit for back shop urinal to address issues with it leaking.
Drain stopper for bathtub corroded off puppy system and became lodged in waste and overflow assembly. Attempted several different tactics in attempt to remove obstruction including wrapping a rope around stopper and pulling it up, but the stopper was lodged inside drain and not moving. Only other option is to access waste and overlfow from behind bathtub and replacement waste and overflow.
Customer complained of no pressure to master bathroom bathtub and laundry room faucet. Was able to restore pressure to both fixtures by disassembling supply lines and cartridges and flushing of system. Fixtures had large amounts of mineral deposits clogging water lines
Actuators for men’s push Chicago facuet are wearing out. Recommend replacement of both hot and cold side
Customers existing sewer main has failed and is completely miss in the bottom of the pipe. Attempted to perform camera inspection but was unable to do so due to the condition of drain. Recommend digging a large hole in the walk in cooler that will allow us to tunnel under the footing and further expose the drain to inspect which direction the drain travels, as well to attempt to find a good location to connect to. Once location of travel is determined as well as condition we can provide a more accurate estimate for replacement if need be. Was able to tunnel approximately 5’past the footing and found a 4” comby that was leading out towards the front of the building. Removed comby and plumbed in new comby connecting the floor sinks into the sewer main. Although we were able to find a section of pipe that had the bottom in tact i strongly suggest replacement of the sewer main. The existing 4” cast iron we connected to was very brittle. Customer wishes to have an exterior 3 basin sink installed on exterior of men’s bathroom. Explained to customer we will have to run all plumbing exposed on outisde of building in order to make everything work
Customers shower was not turning off all the way. Replaced stems and seats. Turned water back on an everything was working properly. There was a decent amount of corrosion occurring on valve. Attempted to clean as best as possible. If customer continues to have issues recommend replacement of entire valve
Snaked drain via p,trap access. Ran water for several minutes and everything was draining properly
Customer had a pin hole leak on half inch copper in men’s bathroom. Explained they’d continue to have leaks until repipe is performed due to the condition of pipe.
Customer had large amounts of debris stuck in casita shower head as a result of work being performed to water lines by jacuzzi company. Flushed out debris. And shower head was working properly. Also inspected toilet. Appears toilet handle was hitting the flush valve lead in it to constantly run. Adjusted handle and everything was working properly
