At inspecting the customers bathroom shower and sink. It appears to have been a septic issue. After running the water for approximately 5 minutes there was no backup, customer stated that the septic tank has pumped earlier in the day. The kitchen drain was backed up due to a grease buildup, after multiple attempts of snaking the drain the kitchen line cleared a little better. After putting the camera down the drain it was determined that the customer needs to have the line descaled to remove grease buildup.
Customer has what appears to be a collapsed sewer line that needs to be repaired. Upon digging up customers sewer line for front bathroom we saw they ad several different issues which lead to the clog. One being they had a 4”:wye that was snapped at the hub allowing dirt to enter the line. The other customer had severe grease build up that was causing the line to clog. Fixed the broken line and removed as much grease as we could with the cable snake. Customers other issue was they had a 3’ section that was backgraded entering the septic tank that we could not fix unless digging up and exposing the three different sewer mains that tied in. In order to do this more work would be required. Highly recommended repairing this section that was backgraded in order to prevent future issues.
Attempted to snake customers front bathroom via roof vent. Was not able to clear clog. Recommended performing spot repair in backyard where front bathrooms drains exited. Appears customers front bathroom drains are on its own mainline and connect to septic in back yard.
Snaked customers sewer line from cleanout behind both units. Also noticed customers kitchen lines for units C and D were clogged. Snaked kitchen line from cleanout in front of the units. Was able to get the line opened and draining. Customer had large amounts of grease built up in kitchen line and strongly recommended hydrojetting to prevent future back ups.
Appeared that customers septic tank was filled which was not allowing the water to drain. Customer stated they where going to have to have septic pumped before having us snake the line.
