Rancho Cucamonga Water Heater Replacement

Over the weekend I was out of town and my water heater went on the fritz. I contacted Schuelke Plumbing on the recommendation of a friend. The plumber, whose name I don't know right now, was very much on-time, clean, professional, and trustworthy. Did I mention this was a Sunday? Awesome job to the staff and I will utilize/recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

Performed several test on upstairs shower that’s located above the garage in order to determine where the leak was coming from. After performing test we determined the leak was coming from two separate areas. One being from the shower head and the other being from water seeping from behind the shower trim. Replaced shower head and sealed around trim. Ran water for several minutes and didn’t see any further leaks.

Customer complained of s clogged bathroom sink and bathtub. Also stated water started dripping from ceiling. Opened drywall and found that there was a connection at the bathtub and sinks that had suddenly ruptured due to the head pressure of the clog which fuses water damage to the drywall and flooring in living room. Removed broken section of pipe and plumbed in new section with proper fittings. Also snaked drain to remove clog. Highly recommended performing proper mitigation and drying to prevent further damage

Customer wishes to have separate estimate of bathroom remodel to include leaving the toilet and plumbing for bathroom vanities on same wall and instead just re doing the plumbing for the curbless shower. This estimate also includes full bathroom remodel Upon removal of existing hallway bathtub we saw that the footprint for new tub won’t match and leaves about a 1” gap between the new tub and existing flooring. Explained to customer we can add a trim peace and grout to fill gap, or we can replace the flooring in the bathroom. They opted for replacement of flooring.

Customer reported warm flooring around refrigerator. Performed several test including checking the meter as well as isolating the water lines feeding the house and doing a pressure test of the system. The meter did not move after watching for 10 minutes and the gauge never lost pressure when performing the pressure test. All of this leads me to believe there is no active leaks. Removed fridge and checked flooring around fridge. Temperature under fridge was approximately 80 degrees while rest of floor was approximately 70. After I removed fridge the flooring located under fridge began to cool down. I believe the cause of the warm flooring is due to the motor of the refrigerator running and warming the walls, and flooring surrounding it.

Customers AC unit leaked causing water damage and mold to appear on face of drywall on the water heater/ AC stand. Removed the drywall that had visible mold and performed mold remediation by treating studs and under stand. Performed inspection under stand and didn’t see any further mold.

Removed and replaced the old kitchen faucet with a new customer supplied kitchen faucet. After installing new faucet, I checked for leaks after running the cold and hot side and after about 5 minutes did not see and leaks or drips. Did notice mold spots underneath the sink against the wall, as well as water damage beneath the sink and the kitchen floor having some warped boards. Would recommend to have the mold cleaned out and as well as possibly making a claim for water damage. Lastly on my way out, noticed the irrigation connection to the main water service connection was leaking. Would highly recommend replacing that and adding a pressure reducing valve.

Customer has mold and water damage to drywall surrounding bathtub. Recommended removal of drywall to the left and right of drywall as well as behind the bathtub near the bathroom vanity to treat for mold. Explained to customer that once we have the drywall opened we can inspect behind the bathtub and see if mold had spread. If mold has spread then we can give Ann other estimate for additional work Performed mold remediation as well as patching of drywall. While performing mold remediation and opening drywall we found that customers shower head arm was leaking in the wall. We took it off and re threaded it in to fix the leak. It also appeared that majority of the water damage was result of water exiting the shower enclosure when they where getting in and out of the shower. Recommended trying to eliminate the amount of water getting on the floor when showering.

Customer had paint and drywall bubbling in back bathroom. Inspected for leak but concluded customer did not have a plumbing leak. Crawled attic and saw water staining in attic above where bathroom was located. This leads me to believe customer has a roof leak that had caused the damage to drywall in bathroom

Customer did not have an accessible clean out. Went on the roof and cleared the clog through toilet vent. The cause of the clog was a large root intrusion in their homeowners main line. Highly recommended doing a spot repair to remove root intrusion and adding a two way clean out.
