Fall pm on 10/12/19 On arrival set unit to call for heat measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain and cleaned checked air filter and replaced checked evaporator coil checked blower motor needs to be cleaned checked blower capacitor checked all other electrical connections checked condenser unit outdoor checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps checked compressor capacitor checked coil measured pressure and temp they are ideal indicating zero leaks unit tested unit operating normal at this time. Highly recommended duct cleaning also uv lights installation and blower wheel cleaning.
When I arrived I began to remove old shorted out compressor and Original wire harness after that I began to install new compressor new wire harness leak test system before adding Freon during this process I noticed that outdoor coils are extremely blocked with dirt and dust I have Added coil cleaning for my next visit all done unit is running with no problems DeltaT 58 return air 77
On arrival remove the old compressor put the new compressor breezed tested with nitrogen no leaks vacuum the unit put everything back connected new compressor wires harness installed right turn on the unit from mean breaker running for 5 minutes is short out. refrigerant leak out from the compressor ports disconnect everything checked compressor is hole in side compressor port. I was talking to Alex and we have to order new compressor with new wire harness unit is turned off from mean breaker also outdoor disconnect box unit is not operating normal.
When I arrived I turn on thermostat checked out furnace checked filter walked outside check outdoor unit fan was running compressor continue to hun every couple minutes. This compressor has a lock rotor amps 85 I tried to install a hard start but that did not work at all. Customer signed up for a membership for one year $199 first tuneup date 9/13/19 between the hours of 12 and 4p.m customer would like to pay half of the compressor and the other half when done
Installed new factory blower motor. Made all wiring connections. Checked the refrigerate charge with pressures at 140/296. Also checked the condenser capacitor and found that to be good.
Upon arrival found blower not starting, making loud grinding noise, checked capacitor and cap low. Tried replacing cap and motor still not starting, need replacement. Customer approved repairs. Customer also signed up for service agreement. Wants her first tune up to be preformed after repairs. Also, left capacitor used to test motor, do not need to replace.
Replace blower motor. I pulled the old blower motor and housing from the unit and replaced the motor. I installed everything back the same way I took it out. I tested the unit for proper operation. Unit operating normal. I have the faulty motor boxed up and labeled to return to Carrier.

I called Carrier to confirm that the part was covered under warranty. I completed a part order form and sent it to the office. Please reach out to the customer with availability. Customer declined service membership at this time. Customer paid service fee and made a deposit of $400 for th3 repairs.
