Client called us out today to look at airflow issues for one side of the home. Master bedroom is getting a majority of airflow and backside of home with three guest rooms is getting very little. After inspection found there is no proper Plenum to distribute airflow due to original house build. Looking at the possibility of adding a zoning system. If zoning system is not possible, dampeners would need to be added. We will reach out to client when a solution can be determined.
Client called us out today due to system not properly cooling master bedroom. Another tech had been out earlier this week and was able to get the system to work for a few days. Outdoor condenser is operational but no cooling is taking place. Secondary motor control for compressor is within spec pulling a 67 out of 70 µF. Hooked up refrigerant gauges and found compressor was completely stagnant with no push to pull. This would indicate the compressor is the issue and would need to be replaced. Client stated Maytag system had refrigerant leak issues in the past. Due to the state and age of the system and what would be required for repairs advised client replace with more reliable model. Client has agreed to move forward with system replacement. Will bring out portable cooler tomorrow. Install date scheduled for August 1st. No Cool diagnostic found 21 yr airhandler with tripped water safety switch; 20 x 20 x 1 pleated filter was restricted and wet; condensation drain line was clogged, improper design on drain line causing water to back up and shut down system; rebuilt drain line with trap and air vent; cleaned out drain pan and flushed condensation drain line; replaced filter with horse hair washable filter and ran unit to cool for 30mins observing proper flow of water. Replaced 20 x 25 x 1 filter in 9yr Trane airhandler. Three additional Trane airhandlers contain 18 x 28 x 2 pleated filters recently installed. 18 yr 1.5 ton Goodman split heat pump, (2) 7yr 4 ton Trane split heat pump, 6yr 4 to. Trane split heat pump and 8yr 3 ton Trane split heat pump added to Thompson’s Service Partner Plan; no further recommendations at this time.
Installed blower motor; ran to cool; all components operating properly within manufacturer specifications; recommended Thompson’s Service Partner Plan for all 3 systems.
3 y.o Client called us out today due to issue with AC. Upon arrival client states outdoor condenser is running, but nothing is coming out of the vents. Usually an indication of a fried blower motor. Used jumper cables and blower motor is nonresponsive. Reached out to manufacturers and they believe they can have a new motor in on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Cooling maintenance on a 18yr old trane condensing unit.system is operating well and only issue was a slight leak at the suction side shrader core. Customer declined repair at the moment.

Thompson plumbing took pictures of laundry room set up. Thompson plumbing will need to go over pictures to make sure that the work can be done correctly before sending out estimate. Electrical outlets might be in the way. Thompson informed customer we would go over job first before sending anything. Estimate is only for plumbing. Thompson plumbing will need to send HVAC technician to look at dryer vent and present estimate to run a new independent dryer vent.

Existing water heater is 10+ years old with no maintenance history, it is showing signs of inefficiency due to neglect. Replaced the old heat pump water heater and replaced with a new one. The old one was not getting hot according to the homeowner. Called customer service for A.O Smith and they gave us an RO number to get a new replacement.
Called AO Smith customer service and they are going to give us a new unit to install for the customer. The RA number is 14106854. I told the customer we will call them and set up an appointment as soon as we get the new water heater.
