AC Maintenance completed on new 3 ton split gas garage AC Pro X-series; replaced 16 x 25 x 4 Merv 13 Carbon Filter with new, condensation drain line clear; cleaned condenser coil; unit operating within manufacturer specifications; Recommend surge protection to protect system against damage from power surge. Email correction made to profile and estimate for surge protection installation sent to new, “primary” email on file.
Reconnected air handler to lineset and outdoor unit to lineset, installed filter dryer in the attic, pressure tested the whole system, pulled system into a vacuum and weighed in the factory charge plus an additional charge for lineset length. Tested both heating and cooling and the system now functions
Initially called out to perform an inspection of the system to determine the location of a refrigerant leak. Visual inspection did not show anything, advised customer we would have to perform a nitrogen leak search and the leak search was accepted. Leak search showed the leak was coming from the filter drier located outside. Filter drier was resting on the ground and this caused corrosion and eventually a leak. Searched for leaks that could be inside of the wall and to the best of my ability did not find anything. Sent estimates for repairs and photos/videos of the leak location.
I found a restriction fault in the outside cleanout, in order to remove lodged wood block/debris we removed drywall and exposed pipe, cut into pipe to attempt removal. We successfully dislodged item that was jammed and rebuilt the clean out. Tested lines and draining properly. Camera inspection performed before and after. See pictures.
Performed the heating and cooling maintenance. System is operating within specifications. 1 yr old system. I did notice the suction line connection to the evap coil was condensating and dripping water into the furnace. I insulated the line to prevent condensation from forming and dripping into the furnace. Also replaced a 16.25.4 media filter.
This estimate is to remove and replace the current tankless water heater with a new Noritz EZTR 40 We will remove the old water heater and install the new tankless unit. We will properly configure the copper and gas piping. We would install new supply lines water and gas. We will check for leaks and proper function after install We performed the work as stated above No leaks New tankless unit is functioning appropriately at this time. Thompson Plumbing provides a 1 year parts and labor warranty
Upon arrival we spoke to the homeowner and she explained she had Anderson previously out to the home and they recommended replacement of the water heater. Upon further evaluation we found the water heater to be leaking from the base as well as the drain bib. We gave appropriate estimates for tankless water heater replacement. Homeowner approved estimate, we will return tomorrow to perform work.
New electrical panel was installed, the breaker that supplied power to the outdoor unit was a single pole breaker. Installed new breaker and tested the system.
