Removed 3 ton split system. Replaced with new 3 ton Amana split system. Sealed up supply Plenum with tape and mastic. Inside and outside. Hooked up copper piping, flushed out,leak test, and vacuum. New condensate pump. System is cooling and draining at this time . Need to return to change out air handler breaker. Was given 35 amp breaker for 240 V. Need 30 amp Eaton breaker for 208v
Upon arrival, customer showed me air handler in laundry room and condenser on the roof. Checked all amps and volts at air handler. The evaporator coil is clean but rusted really bad. Cleared out condensate drain and made sure condensate pump went off. Went to the condenser on the roof checked all amps and volts the compressor is reading 31.4 Amps. recommended a pure air x, surge protector and customer declined at this time. Complete member tune up. Change customer supplied filter. Inspect electrical components. Test amps and volts. Ensure system is running properly in all modes. Clear out condensate drain and pump. Delta t measures at 23 degrees. A picture of the evaporator coil will be uploaded to ST. There is no biological growth inside of air handler cabinet. At condenser checked pressures, temps, amps and volts. The contactor was pitted and burnt. I replaced the contactor. System is in good operational condition.
Upon arrival customer showed me an ac unit in the closet that needed tuned up. The evap coil is clean. Cleaned the condensate with water and nitrogen. Checked the system for proper amps and volts. Went to the condenser and Checked the system for proper amps and volts. Found no insulation on suction line and low voltage wire was bare. Customer is selling the house so wanted to make are part would not fail inspection.
Arrived at customer's house for no cool. On arrival customer showed me to air handler unit. Air handler unit was running. Went out to condenser and hooked up gages. Condenser showed very little to no free on. Unit is from 2005. Advice customer to get new unit. Customer getting consultation Monday between 5 and 7. Collected payment and signature for today's work and left. Customer happy.
Complete member precision tune up. Inspect all electrical components and ensure proper amperages and voltages. Clear out drain line using nitrogen. Evaporator coil picture uploaded to ST. Fan capacitor was low and customer agreed to change out to the mini turbo 200. Delta t split was 21 degrees. Condenser motor and compressor amperages look good a turbo cap was installed last year. Contactor is in good condition. Offered pure air x light and media cleaner to customer. He will get back to us in the next week and is very interested. Media filter would be 16x20x1. Customer satisfied!
The condenser dual capacitor failed. I replaced the capacitor and installed a surge protector. I cycled and monitored the system, checked for proper voltage, amps, pressures and temperatures. It’s very hot in the house and I informed the customer it will take a while to cool down and we can give a follow up call to make sure it’s cooling down good. Customer purchased a TAP membership and I left the system in good running order.
