Upon arrival customer showed me an ac unit in the closet that needed tuned up. The evap coil is clean. Cleaned the condensate with water and nitrogen. Checked the system for proper amps and volts. Went to the condenser and Checked the system for proper amps and volts. Found no insulation on suction line and low voltage wire was bare. Customer is selling the house so wanted to make are part would not fail inspection.
Arrived at customer's house for no cool. On arrival customer showed me to air handler unit. Air handler unit was running. Went out to condenser and hooked up gages. Condenser showed very little to no free on. Unit is from 2005. Advice customer to get new unit. Customer getting consultation Monday between 5 and 7. Collected payment and signature for today's work and left. Customer happy.
Complete member precision tune up. Inspect all electrical components and ensure proper amperages and voltages. Clear out drain line using nitrogen. Evaporator coil picture uploaded to ST. Fan capacitor was low and customer agreed to change out to the mini turbo 200. Delta t split was 21 degrees. Condenser motor and compressor amperages look good a turbo cap was installed last year. Contactor is in good condition. Offered pure air x light and media cleaner to customer. He will get back to us in the next week and is very interested. Media filter would be 16x20x1. Customer satisfied!
The condenser dual capacitor failed. I replaced the capacitor and installed a surge protector. I cycled and monitored the system, checked for proper voltage, amps, pressures and temperatures. Itâ€™s very hot in the house and I informed the customer it will take a while to cool down and we can give a follow up call to make sure itâ€™s cooling down good. Customer purchased a TAP membership and I left the system in good running order.
