I decided to use Total Air for their 20+ years of local business. The services are detailed and complete. I have joined their yearly service program.
My technician, Michael, was vey efficient and friendly.
No! transparency. Of The secret agent or technician that came out my home he was not a personable individual however he did try sell me a motor for 2,0000 and a coil cleaning for 1,000.00. What was interesting while he talked on the phone with his organization in an attempt to get a replacement motor, I moved closer to him to hear what the office person was saying, he immediately walked to the street as if he was a secret agent on a mission, in an attempt to hide or mask what the other person was saying on the phone, which is a tail tail sign in any business of shady practices is a foot “no transparency”. it made me wonder what was being said to cause him to be so adamant of preventing me to hear the conversation. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Also just to come out was 89.99. Most other a/c repair shops charge 69.99-79.99.
The technician who service my AC unit. Today was very competent. He was quick and efficient and very personable. He gave an honest evaluation of my unit and recommended only repairs that were necessary.
Prompt, professional and courteous service. Highly recommend!
The technician were friendly and and courteous will recommend a company
Both technician was hard working professional. Kind and patiently explain and helping me to understand and know about my new AC system I was very happy and satisfied with their service.
This is our 2nd time using Total Air (we’ll use them again.) Prompt service and show up when they say they will. Kind folks from call taker to techs. Knowledgeable and fair prices.
This company has never let me down. Every technician that has come out for tune ups has been wonderful!! Excellent service again today with Caleb!
Customer said is blowing hot air . Checked the unit and found out that compressor was overheated and safety switch was activated. Cooled down compressor and checked it. Found out that on start up it pulls 207 amps out of 97 . Added a hard start kit on it and it pulls 14 amps on start up. Unit is working now.
Home Depot mini split The client said he wants to replace it, and said he would call the office if he decides on a Comfort Advisor.
Arrived and was greeted by the homeowner I went straight out to the back of the condenser and took off the old motor, still very loud and too hot to even touch Installed the new OEM motor and this turned on so much quieter and smoother than the last one The homeowners are extremely happy. They said they were gonna leave a Google review. System back up and running Returning the warranty motor back to the office for proper warranty exchange Thank you for being part of the Total Air family
The client has several properties and wants to become a member. We had a conversation about it and he will call the office to schedule it Consultation Code: ENG39NBP0 Drain line was clogged Vacuumed and flushed with drain solve Float switch was installed I Flo was installed System running and operating at this time
7-18-25 NM Arrived onsite and found breaker not passing power. Found that we had both legs going to ground. Going into breaker but not out the breaker. Units been down for 2 weeks. I did get approval to fix low voltage wire corrosion and broken wires. Customer wants to replace breaker himself
As I arrived, the homeowner told me that they just got back from vacation and they came back to their home being at 85 I went through the whole entire air handler and found out the thermostat was running, but the outside wasn’t due to the safety switch being fully filled After looking at the system, I sucked out the water from the drain line and got the outside condenser turned on. I put my gauges on the system and it all looks normal. House is down to 81 since the time I had it running this is the peak of the day and it will take time to get the temperature down The AFO has been installed after approval. This will chemically clean the drain line throughout the year since it’s been a reoccurring issue for them. This is a base microchannel split system nordyn 2 ton Air handler located in closet condenser located right side in the back of the home Non-variable system When the system is ready for replacement, I do recommend a variable type system for the furnace if you’d like to
The condenser coil must be cleaned. The evaporator coil must be cleaned He said to consult with his wife and call us. Checked capacitor and contactor Checked compressor and fans amps Checked refrigerant levels and temperature Took air temperature on supply and return System Running and operating at this time
Completed drain line repair Unit is draining properly and running Also reminder to contact customer if we are able to find a head / coil for that unit that is leaking or at least let him know if we can’t.
Customer complaining that system is not keeping up in the hotter parts of the day. System is five years old and is under warranty. Both coils are microchannel. Condenser coil is completely plugged with debris from neighbors tree. Evaporator coil also appears to be dirty. Customer has had many issues with the system and does not want to put any more money into it. Highly recommend replacing the system
Consultation Code: ENGMQ41BP Icm surge protector was installed Completed full Maintenance on split system Checked capacitor and contactor Checked compressor and fans Amps Checked refrigerant levels and temperature Vacuumed and flushed condensate drain Took air temperature on supply and return Tested float switch Systems running and operating at this time
7-18-25 NM Arrived onsite and met Caleb for this service call. Found compressor in thermal lockout. Went through the thermostat settings and found thermostat compressor protection set at 1 minute instead of 5. Also found unit slightly undercharged. I added 1 lb to the system. No need for leak search today, let’s monitor this moving forward. Everything appears to be running okay at this time. Caleb did the maintenance today too. Before adding gas that suction line was at 73 degrees and after adding we got it down to 57 Indoor unit is pretty clean. There is some bacterial growth but I was able to get it all cleaned up. Temperature splits were low to begin with but after charging the unit back up temp splits are good. All motors are giving good amp readings. I do recommend changing your filter out whenever you can it is a little overdue. I flushed out the condensate line. Got the outdoor unit cleaned up. Refrigerant levels look good now after we charged it up, we will have to monit
Customer complaining that system is not keeping up and compressor is making a loud sound. System is from 2022 and is under warranty and has had many issues in the past. Fan speed was never set right. Compressor is pulling 25 Amps and is rated for 23. Compressor must be replaced in order to fully diagnosed the rest of the system. System needs 14 pounds of refrigerant. Customer would like to deliberate on this repair before deciding but wants a Comfort Advisor to come out Monday to give a quote on a new system.
Customer complained unit is not cooling. Found out that drain pan was full of water and activated float switch. Cleaned drain line and drain pan , installed IFLO device and turned on the unit . Unit is draining and operating as designed.
Arrived to find 10 year-old package unit out of warranty running but not keeping up. Found system low on charge and did detect a leak in the evaporator coil. Used a mega OHM meter on the compressor and found that it is reading bad. I added 2 pounds of refrigerant to get the customer by. Customer is aware that this is a Band-Aid fix and that the refrigerant will likely leak out. Highly recommend replacing the system due to it being out of warranty and facing costly repairs.
7-18-25 NM Arrived onsite and performed system maintenance. Rinsed condenser coil with fresh water. System could benefit from a deep cleaning, the amount of grass that was caked in the unit will eventually clog the fin coil. I checked all the electronics and found the capacitor was reading 29mfd out of 35mfd. I installed a new capacitor at this time. Wiped down condenser and removed dead frog at this time. Climbed into attic and wiped down air handler and cleared out drain line. Checked static pressure and it read a 0.40 temp split between 17-18 degrees. Unit is attic looked really good at this time. I cleaned the coil and inspected and wiped down the built up dirt in the unit. Would recommend routine maintenance plan for better care at this time. Thank you for choosing TOTAL AIR, and thank you for having Nick M out. If you enjoyed us today please rate us on Google.
