Did a video inspection of the sewer from 4” floor clean out in parking garage out to manhole behind building 4” and 6” cast had heavy scale build up, would need to be dug in room with bed before exiting building and install clean out or work from open hole. Did a video inspection from 4” floor clean out behind furnace which was a branch line that tied into main run only thing draining through that line was floor drain near furnace for condensate line. Also did a video inspection from floor clean out near mop sink in closet to main run this line is where all toilets in older part of building run though, line had heavy scale and debris. Would also need to dig up at wye connection where it ties into main run in parking garage to work from open hole or clean out. Recommend descaling main run to pvc just outside building before manhole, also descaling toilet/bathroom branch line from clean out to open hole in parking garage.
Met with Ed and fire chief to discuss possible lining. Suggested that we provide a proposal for televising all lines in order to get an idea of the state and then provide a proposal for lining.
Inserted a liner through the open end of each of the two six inch pipes, extending approximately 80 feet ending in the open end on the other side of the pipe in utility room.
Took a look at x3 vac lines at car wash 80’ long each x 6” about 240’ total.
Ducts are concrete duct possible metal outside couplings. There is sand or debris coming into the pipe at the joints. Suggest possible spin cast mortar of the joints then spray lining with Duct Armor.
