We have an issue with a dusty smell permeating our ranch home. Bob & Kevin arrived promptly and thoroughly inspected our ductwork to determine the cause of the odor. It appears the cause may be separation of duct with the pea gravel fill used under the concrete slab. They inspected the entire system with camera and are preparing an estimate for coating the duct system. Both gentlemen were open, honest and kept us informed with what they were doing. We had previous work done by this company and are very satisfied with the results.

The technicians were on time, efficient, polite, and worked well around other work that was going on in the site. Despite scheduling challenges, they worked hard to accommodate me.

The Trenchless Innovations tech was very informative. Walked me through the process from start to finish. The only thing was I had to unscrew and remove the register covers before he could start. Glad I had a screwdriver.

Applied second application of duct armor to all underground ductwork.
Applied first coat of Duct Armor to all registers, plenum and duct runs.
Televised and cleaned all underground ductwork. Applied trenchless spincast mortar to all underground ductwork. Repaired furnace box and all register vents with mortar as well.
Televised from outside clean out and also from clean out in crawl space but sewer was backed up. Rodded from outside clean out and was only able to get a straight cable through to open sewer and get level to drop. Retelevised again and found that clean out in crawl has a hole in side of pipe on riser and allowed stone and clay to enter the pipe. Could not get camer to pass by all the stone in the pipe from the crawl space clean out. Televised from clean out in closet in basement and see that the line has heavy roots in clay downstream of the connection for drain tile. The toilet in the addition is actually tied into the original drain tile in the house then connects to the main sewer at the cross connection. Suggest Bills plumbing install a clean out at cross and also use the open pipe and hole to jet and remove the stone in the line. After the clean outs are installed we can provide a proposal for installing a liner if requested by the homeowner. We will also provide a quote for ins
Televised sewer from outside clean out in driveway 39 ft to cast to clay and then 70ft downstream. It appears that the sewer connects to the Metropolitan sewer via a drop connection into the manhole near the street. It looks like when the manhole was repaired and epoxy coated that they sealed off the tee portion that is for cleaning purposes that connects into the side of the manhole. Light is visible when the camera is pushed out and we can see that the water is flowing towards the tee that would drop down outside the manhole. Will revise quote for lining and then resend it back to customer.
10-1-2024: Did a video inspection of the sewer from x2 6” pvc clean outs on right side of house in landscape bed, 93’ to city main heavy roots up to 30’ downstream from clean out, also went upstream from main clean out 45’ heavy root at 15’ took guide off camera pushed up to 45’ could not see past 15’ too much root/water holding in pipe. Second clean out brought us back into house 4” cast to bottom of stack. Do not see sump discharge out side of house drain tile may tie into existing sewer. Took a look in basement no sump pump and found another stack in crawl/below addition.
Cleaned and descaled approximately 5’ of 4” cast iron pipe where spot repair liner will be installed. Inserted a 4” spot repair liner approximately 5' in length through the existing overhead clean-out beginning in the PVC pipe and extending through the cast iron where there is a shift in the pipe.
10-1-2024: removed large pieces of concrete from sewer line, installed 5’x6” spot repair liner over broken tee connection where old downspout line used to tie in. All downspouts are concreted over and ran above ground can see 1.5” pipe out front corner of house where sump pump discharges. Did NOT reinstate tie in from old downspout at broken tee fitting tried to camera downspout was filled with mud
9-23-2024: Cleaned and measured sewer in preparation for lining from open hole in basement. Did NOT see and drain tile connection in 6” clay or at cast to clay found where existing tile ties into flood drain in middle of basement. 9-30-2024: lined sewer from open hole/ open pipe in basement 70’ downstream starting in 4” cast near foundation wall and ending in 6” clay near city main.
9-26-24 • Excavated an area in the floor in the bathroom to provide proper access into the sewer for lining purposes. • Descaled the line using high speed chain descaling equipment then removed the loose scale from the pipe. 9-27-24 • Inserted a 4” liner through the open pipe extending approximately 50 feet downstream into the manhole outside of the building. Reinstated one connection. • Inserted a 4” liner through the open pipe extending approximately 20 feet upstream ending in the PVC pipe. Reinstated 10 connections. Backfilled hole with 3/4” stone and cemented floor.
Televised sewer from outside clean out to city main approximately 89 ft.
Applied first application of duct armor to all underground duct work.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are concrete ducts with metal fittings. There is a blockage in the tee where a plumbing repair was made blocking the airflow to the back of the house. Floor will need to be broken up and blockage removed.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are concrete rectangular chases that are separated from the floor so spray lining will not be able to fill the gap where radon could possibly be entering the house. Suggest going overhead.
Applied second application of duct armor to all underground ductwork and furnace box.
