Our church had a plumbing contractor tell us we needed to line our entire sewer line for about 25k. Trenchless Innovations came out to give us a second inspection and opinion. Per the inspection John did not recommend a lining. John and Kevin took the time to look through our old church and give some thought on our basement water issues and some possible remedies. Great service, reasonable fee for camera inspection and experience make the church feel confident in the findings, hopefully saving us some headache and money as we .go forward.

Bob arrived at our home on time, wore coverings over his shoes and was ready to work immediately. He answered all of the many questions that we had even though we were interrupting him as he worked. Mr. Stewart and his Son were very Kind, Professional, and Knowledgeable. He explained the situation within the drain line, using the video camera, to me in simplified/non technical terms that I appreciated. He also provided his verbal recommendation based on the assessment and his expertise. I appreciate the fact that Mr. Stewart and his son was not trying to immediately bust up my patio as other companies wanted to do just to diagnose the issue at a ridiculous cost. They did not leave my house with any leaks in my drain pipe or debris all over. Thank you Trenchless Innovations!!!

We had a drain pipe that was blocked with tar (thanks to incompetent roofers); the best idea a local Chicago plumbing company could come up with was to tear up our entire basement floor for a hefty price tag. I am so glad I found Trenchless Innovations: they patiently worked through 4 feet(!) of tar and cleared the pipe; all the while they were focussed but also friendly and even patiently answered the questions of my four year old daughter; on top of that they saved me tons of money and helped me avoid a destroyed basement floor. I cannot recommend them enough!

Cut 4” main stack in basement and installed a 4x6” patch liner 3’ in length to cover a hole on the upstream side of the 6” elbow. Installed pvc stack section that we cut out with non shear mission couplings. Broke up concrete floor around 2” line going into ground in order to provide access for installing patch liner. Installed a 4x6” patch liner 5’ in length covering the hole just downstream of the 6” elbow. Installed new section of 2” pvc and backfilled hole with 3/4” stone and cemented floor.
Televised sewer from outside PVC clean out to city main. The last 5ft of sewer is clay tile and looks ini good condition. There rest of the sewer is all PVC.
Televised sewer from manhole behind building 108’ upstream could not get past 3rd shift/off set in line, moved to floor clean out in kids bath tvd about 160’ to manhole in back where we started tv from, x3 offsets and shifts located that would need repaired by digging to correct the pitch of the pipe areas of pipe held almost 100% full pipe of water due to shift/back pitch/ settling. *** blue tape marks on floor where pipe is shifted with location and depth Took a look at second building from manhole in parking lot line is packed with grease needs to be jetted and cleaned and can televise after cleaning.
1-21-2026: televised sewer from floor clean out in mens room 60’ to manhole near drive through 4” cast had pipe missing and channeled on bottom, also from floor 4” floor clean out near register line was packed full of paper and waste only able to get 25’, televised from manhole upstream 60’ to heavy paper blockage near women toilet. Pipe would need to be cleared and flushed to get visual but can give estimate to possibly line from 4” floor clean out to 4” pvc, also line from manhole upstream to 4” pvc.

12-22-2025: Televised sewer from 4” stack in basement 116’ to city main sewer runs to back of building we located the lateral to main connection in back alley in front of far right garage door about 7’ deep, catch basin is a branch line that ties into main run at 49’ downstream from stack in basement where pipe will be replaced to pvc and liner will be shot from open hole to city main. Heavy roots from 55’ to 88’ needs to be cleaned from open hole prior to lining. Tie in at 49’ from catch basin, tie in at 37’ possibly stairwell drain, tie in at 23’ from stack on other side of building, tie in at 5’ from floor drain near stack. All 4 active connections will be reinstated, it’s believed to be that upstream side of tee we will be opening floor in basement to repipe is just a floor drain in front storage room near front of building we will tv and verify from open pipe during lining date. Since catch basin is not the main run we can not line from basin to main, we took measurements to l
Televised But could not get camera past 10ft. Rodded and could not get a 4” cutter. Rodded with a 3” cutter. Pipe is dropped at approximately 19ft from clean out in basement floor near water meter. Could only get a 3” cutter blade through and it’s is too far shifted to line. Located and it appears to be in the street approximately 1-2ft past the curb. Sewer will need to be duct and repaired at that location.
massive sinkhole with debris washed back into manhole in parking lot. Suggest digging and making a repair due to the size of the sinkhole and the amount of debris in the manhole.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are spiral wound plastic coated ducts. Will provide proposal for spray lining and possible spin cast mortaring.
12-18-2025: did not smell sewer upon arrival, checked multiple locations and access point so smell near, had smell of sour milk upon arrival but during the time we spent looking around the smell dissipated away to no smell in room or bath room homeowner also agreed smell went away. We caulked toilet and drum trap cover didn’t have smell but tried to seal as precaution to see if smell comes or goes.
