I performed ductwork restoration services today at a residential property in Northbrook, Illinois. The scope of work included thoroughly cleaning all underground duct runs to remove built-up debris and contaminants. I also rebuilt and resealed the duct register boots where they penetrate through the floor to ensure a tight fit. After cleaning and preparation, I applied the initial coat of Duct Armor sealant to encapsulate and protect the interior duct surfaces. Duct Armor is an elastomeric coating that prevents moisture intrusion, inhibits mold growth, and improves airflow efficiency. Allowing proper curing time, a secondary coat will be applied to complete this duct sealing and rehabilitation project. Maintaining clean and properly sealed ductwork is critical for indoor air quality and HVAC system performance.
