Inserted a 8” epoxy liner through the drain line in deep end of pool extending approximately 40 feet to the pump room in the basement. Inserted a 8” epoxy liner through the drain line on the right side of the box approximately 10’ ending in main drain line. Epoxy coated pool box.
Descaled existing six-inch cast iron pool drain lines in preparation for lining; removed loose scale out of drain lines; lined approximately 45 feet from pump room in basement to main drain on North side of the pool; lined approximately 20 feet from open pipe on the south side of pool extending through the double wye connection and overlapping the first liner; and epoxy coated the wye connection and old cast iron pipe to the sump pit on both sides of the gate valve.
I inspected a 6"x8" drain line for a pool and gathered details to provide a quote for lining 35 feet of the drain with a durable liner. Additionally, I evaluated the drain box, approximately 3'x5' in size, for a rebuild and epoxy coating. The epoxy coating will reinforce the drain box, ensuring it remains watertight and resistant to wear. This plan will provide long-term protection for the pool drainage system.
Inserted a 6” liner through the open pipe in the pump room in the basement extending approximately 50’ feet ending in the open pipe in the main drain on the North side of the pool. Inserted a 15’ 6” liner through the open pipe in the main drain on the south side of the pool extending through the double wye connection and overlapping the previously installed liner. Reinstated the wye connection. Epoxy coated all seams in both drain boxes located in deep end of pool.
Inspected and televised the pool line from the open pipe in the basement, extending 60 feet to the elbow, where heavy scaling was observed. Also televised from the pool drain boxes up to the basement elbow. To effectively line the 90-degree elbow, it must be removed above ground in the basement. This step is necessary to ensure a proper fit and complete restoration of the pipeline, addressing the scaling and improving overall flow and functionality.
