We got taken!

Our clothes dryer stopped working. The diagnostic review determined the thermal fuse needed to be replaced. We were charged $170.62 (including a 15% discount). when we went on-line we discovered the part cost was $4.99.

CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is leaking water. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected water supply line for leaks, no leaks at the refrigerator water supply line. Inspected internal water refrigerator water lines for leaks, internal refrigerator water line are normal at the time of inspection. Inspected refrigerator defrost drain line for water leaks, found the source of the leak coming from the refrigerator defrost drain. Removed freezer panel to inspect for clogged drain line. Found the defrost drain restricted with ice and debris. CORRECTION: Cleared the refrigerator defrost drain of ice and debris, also installed new defrost drain tube operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.

CONCERN: Customer reports dishwasher is not working properly. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Tested the dishwasher for proper voltage to the dishwasher terminal junction box. Voltage to junction box is normal. Tested voltage from the junction box to the main control board, voltage test normal. Tested voltage from the dishwasher main control board out to water valve and dishwasher float. Found no power going through the dishwasher main control board. CORRECTION: Replaced dishwasher main control board and tested, operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator section is not getting cold but freezer is still working properly. CAUSE: Found back panel and evaporator coils covered in frost. Tested the refrigerator defrost bi-metal thermostat for continuity, refrigerator defrost bi-metal continuity failed test. Refrigerator defrost bi-metal has electrical short. CORRECTION: Defrosted refrigerator evaporator coils and replaced defrost bi-metal thermostat. Operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports R/F coil cooktop burner is not working. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected for proper voltage from wall to cooktop terminal block, voltage is normal. Inspected voltage from terminal block to the main control input line, voltage was normal. Inspected voltage from the main control to the infinite input, voltage was normal. Inspected voltage from R/F infinite switch to the burner receptacle, found the burner receptacle and burner shorted out.CORRECTION: Replaced R/F burner and burner receptacle, operation now normal. * PART IS CUSTOMER SUPPLIED. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED *

CONCERN: Customer reports ice maker is not making ice. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected water supply lines for leaks, no leaks from supply lines at the time of inspection. Inspected freezer for proper temperature output, temperature output in freezer normal at the time of inspection. Inspected for proper voltage to the ice maker, voltage to ice maker is normal at the time of inspection.Found voltage to the Ice maker normal however ice maker will not call for water from the refrigerator water valve. Found the ice maker failed. CORRECTION: Replaced ice maker and tested. Operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
