I called Affordable Appliance Repair when my Maytag washer would no longer turn on (Of course the extended warranty expired 3 months ago). They sent Chas out the next day and began troubleshooting the problem. He determined that I needed a new control board. He called around and found one and installed it the following day. Chas was super pleasant and explained everything that was going on. He called ahead of time and left the area clean. Thanks AAR and Chas for a job well done. Will definitely use you again and recommend you to family and friends.

CONCERN: Customer reports dryer is not heating. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected dryer for proper voltage from the wall to the cord terminal block, voltage normal. Inspected voltage from terminal block to dryer control assembly, voltage normal. Inspected continuity on all thermal safety thermostats, all thermal safeties are normal. Inspected continuity at heater element, found dryer heating element failed. CORRECTION: Replaced dryer heating element and tested. Operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports that the washer is not draining. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected wall outlet for proper voltage to washer, voltage output from wall outlet normal at the time of inspection. Inspected voltage output from control to washer drain pump, voltage to drain pump normal at the time of inspection. Found washer pump impeller was trying to turn however the technician found washer drain pump clogged with debris. CORRECTION: Removed drain pump to clear debris and re-installed, check for leaks and tested, Operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
CONCERN: Refrigerator section is not getting cold. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected voltage from terminal block to compressor, voltage normal at the time of inspection. Tested compressor operation, compressor operation normal at the time of inspection. Inspected voltage to evaporator fan motor, voltage normal at the time of inspection. Found evaporator fan motor failed. CORRECTION: Replaced refrigerator evaporator fan motor and tested. Operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not getting down to proper temperature. CAUSE: Found condenser coils very dirty. CORRECTION: Cleaned condenser coils. NOTE: All functions of the unit are working properly, since condenser coils will not allow for proper heat dissipation this may be the sole cause of this issue. Should unit not cool to proper temp after cleaning, tech will need to return for further dianosis. CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not as cold as it should be. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected wall outlet for proper voltage output, voltage output normal at the time of inspection. Inspected for voltage input at the compressor, compressor voltage input normal at the time of inspection. NOTE: Compressor was running and cooling unit down. Inspected voltage input at the condenser fan motor, input voltage was normal at the time of inspection. Found condenser fan motor Locked up and not running. Found the ice maker failed. CORRECTION: Replaced ice maker and tested. Operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.

CONCERN: Customer reports dishwasher is not working (has no power). CAUSE: Found short circuit at junction box power supply. CORRECTION: Repaired burnt wiring and installed new power supply connector kit. Operation now normal.

Found dishwasher pump and motor hose leaking . CORRECTION: Replaced dishwasher pump and motor assembly and tested, operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is leaking from the freezer door. CAUSE: Found freezer defrost drain tube clogged with debris. CORRECTION: Cleared defrost drain tube and tested. Operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
