Service was timely and professional. Joey was our technician and knew the solution to our problem as soon as he examined the dishwasher. He had the exact part for replacement with him. He returned the next day to program the computer module and did not charge us until the work was completed and we were satisfied that the problem was fully resolved. Will call Affordable Appliance Repair again for any other appliance needs.

I called in because the bottom freezer on my French door refrigerator was somehow collecting ice, and had made the drawers hard to open and close. Brendon was scheduled to come out few days later, diagnosed it quickly as a clogged condensation line, took very careful care of my food and freezer, took it all apart, cleaned everything out with precision, broke up the nearly inch thick slab of ice at the bottom, steamed everything and found some solid matter clogged in the bottom of the drain line. He was excellent to work with, was polite and professional, the whole repair was a hair over 100 bucks, and I will ABSOLUTELY work with Affordable Appliance again, and will refer Brendon and the company out.

CONCERN: Customer reports dishwasher is not working properly. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Tested the dishwasher for proper voltage to the dishwasher terminal junction box. Voltage to junction box is normal. Tested voltage from the junction box to the main control board, voltage test normal. Tested voltage from the dishwasher main control board out to water valve and dishwasher float. Found no power going through the dishwasher main control board. CORRECTION: Replaced dishwasher main control board and tested, operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not working CAUSE: Found yellow wire from freezer control temp defrost timer has burnt up CORRECTION: cut and spliced new wires. tested. Operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
CONCERN: Customer reports oven is not heating DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Tested for proper voltage from wall outlet to terminal block Voltage good. Tested voltage from terminal block to control, voltage good. Tested voltage from control to ignitor, voltage good. Found oven ignitor has electrical short. CORRECTION: Replaced ignitor and tested, operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports R/F Cooktop burner "cooktop on" light stays on. CAUSE: Found R/F infinite switch failed cycle switch. CORRECTION: Replaced R/F infinite switch and tested. Operation is now normal.

Tested voltage from terminal block to control, voltage good. Tested voltage from control to ignitor, voltage good. Found oven ignitor has electrical short. CORRECTION: Replaced ignitor on upper and lower ovens and tested, operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports dryer is making noise when running. DIAGNOSTIC & CAUSE: Inspected dryer start mechanisms, all are working as designed. Found dryer had debris stuck in blower housing. CORRECTION: Removed debris from blower housing and tested, operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports washer is not working CAUSE: Found washer lock lid has failed CORRECTION: Replaced and tested, operation now normal. No leaks upon completion.
CONCERN: Customer reports dryer is not heating. CAUSE: Inspected continuity at heater element, found dryer heating element failed. CORRECTION: Replaced dryer heating element and tested. Removed lint from dryer cabinet at no additional charge. Operation now normal. NOTE: Customer had taken dryer apart and was apart at time of call.
CONCERN: Dryer is making a loud noise when tumbling. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected dryer barrel operation, operation normal. Inspected blower wheel for restrictions, no restrictions in or around blower wheel. Found dryer drum support rollers failed. CORRECTION: Replaced rollers, belt, and idler pulley. Operation now normal CONCERN: Customer reports dryer will not tumble clothes CAUSE: Found dryer belt failed CORRECTION: Replaced dryer belt and tested. Operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports dryer is no longer heating CAUSE: Found dryer wire to heating element came off CORRECTION: installed new connector and tested. Operation now normal.
CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not as cold as it should be. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected wall outlet for proper voltage output, voltage output normal at the time of inspection. Inspected for voltage input at the compressor, compressor voltage input normal at the time of inspection. NOTE: Compressor was running and cooling unit down. Inspected voltage input at the condenser fan motor, input voltage was normal at the time of inspection. Found condenser fan motor Locked up and not running. Advised customer recommend shut unit down as compressor is very hot and may cause damage if it continuesto run. Customer wanted to shut down after holidays (a few days later) . CORRECTION: Replaced condenser fan motor and tested. Cleaned condenser coils at no extra charge. Operation now normal. Advised customer 24hrs to 100% cooling.
CONCERN: Dryer takes too long to dry clothes, dryer does get hot though. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Tested dryer for proper heater element operation. Heater operation is normal. Inspected heater thermostat operation for short cycling condition, thermostat is short cycling. Inspected dryer air flow at the duct flume, air flow is normal at this time, no signs of flow restriction. Cause, Wall vent clogged with lint. CORRECTION: Performed dryer vent cleaning, tested for restrictions, operation now normal CONCERN: Customer reports washer is not working properly. CAUSE: Found washer suspension rods have failed. CORRECTION: Replaced washer suspension rods and tested. Operation now normal.
