Amazing response time and service

The immediate service appointment was a nice surprise. Repair person was prompt, courteous, quickly diagnosed problem and completed the repair. My washer was unuseable for less than 24 hours. When you need a repair completed quickly by someone you can trust for a great price I recommend calling Affordable Appliance Repair.

CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not working properly. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected refrigerator for proper voltage supply, voltage is normal at the time of inspection. Inspected for proper voltage from terminal block to control, voltage is normal at the time of inspection. Inspected voltage from control to DC inverter, found voltage supply to the inverter normal however no voltage coming out of the inverter to the compressor. Found compressor inverter control board failed. CORRECTION: Replaced compressor inverter control board and tested. Operation now normal. CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator seems to run all the time. CAUSE: Found condenser coils clogged with debris. CORRECTION: Clean condenser coils and tested, operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports that the Refrigerator is not getting cold in either compartment. CAUSE: Inspected wall voltage for proper output, voltage output is normal. Inspected compressor for proper voltage, voltage to compressor is normal. Inspected compressor starter for proper continuity, no continuity at the compressor starter. Tested compressor windings for electrical shorts, no shorts at compressor windings. CORRECTION: Replaced compressor starter and tested. Operation now normal. CONCERN: Dryer takes too long to dry clothes, dryer does get hot though. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Tested dryer for proper heater element operation. Heater operation is normal. Inspected heater thermostat operation for short cycling condition, thermostat is short cycling. Inspected dryer air flow at the duct flume, air flow is normal at this time, no signs of flow restriction. Cause, Wall vent clogged with lint. CORRECTION: Performed dryer vent cleaning, tested for restrictions, operation now normal

CONCERN: Customer reports microwave is not working properly. CAUSE: Tested Microwave door switches for continuity, found microwave interlock door switches have electrical short and failed. CORRECTION: Replace microwave interlock door switches and tested. Operation now normal. CONCERN: Customer reports microwave is not working. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected power supply at the wall for 120V, voltage at supply line normal at time of inspection. Inspected control board for visible signs of shorts, no signs of shorts a the control board. Inspected microwave 20 amp safety fuse for shorts. Microwave fuse shorted. CORRECTION: Replaced microwave fuse and tested, operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is leaking water onto floor. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected water supply line to refrigerator for leaks, no leaks found at this time. Inspected water valve for leaks, found water valve failure. CORRECTION: Replaced water valve and tested. Operation now normal. CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator seems to run all the time. CAUSE: Found condenser coils clogged with debris. CORRECTION: Clean condenser coils and tested, operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator is not getting cold on refrigerator side. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Inspected compressor operation, evaporator fan and condenser fan operation, all normal. Found frost build up on evaporator coils. Tested defrost heater for continuity, Found defrost heater and limiter shorted. CORRECTION: Replaced defrost heater and limiter. Tested operation, all normal upon completion. CONCERN: Customer reports refrigerator section is not getting cold but freezer is still working properly. CAUSE: Found back panel and evaporator coils covered in frost. Tested the refrigerator defrost bi-metal thermostat for continuity, refrigerator defrost bi-metal continuity failed test. Refrigerator defrost bi-metal has electrical short. CORRECTION: Defrosted refrigerator evaporator coils and replaced defrost bi-metal thermostat. Operation now normal.

CONCERN: Customer reports that the WHIRLPOOL dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes. Model WDF302PADS2 CAUSE: Dishwasher has soap and scum build up. CORRECTION: Performed dishwasher cabinet clean out, cleaned dishwasher sump and chopper area to remove debris. Cleaned spray arms as best as possible, installed citrus acid solution and ran machine to disinfect and clean spray ports and sump area of mold and mildred residue. Operation now normal.

Inspected freezer for proper temperature output, temperature output in freezer normal at the time of inspection. Inspected for proper voltage to the ice maker, voltage to ice maker is normal at the time of inspection.Found voltage to the Ice maker normal however ice maker will not call for water from the refrigerator water valve. Found the ice maker failed. CORRECTION: Replaced ice maker and tested. Operation now normal

CONCERN: Customer reports Refrigerator is not cooling properly. DIAGNOSTIC AND CAUSE: Test compressor operation to see if the compressor was running. Compressor was not running. Tested for voltage from adaptive defrost control board to compressor. No voltage from the main control board to the compressor. Cause of failure found ADC main control board shorted at the output line voltage to the compressor. CORRECTION: Replaced ADC main control board and tested. Operation now normal.
