1. Parts shipped direct to customer, though this gets the parts in quicker, it gets nullified by the fact that the technician does not go ahead and schedule the repair while on the consult. So that's 2-3 days waiting on parts, then someone calls from dispatch, and the technician can't be booked to come back usually 4-5 business days after. So 7-8 business days to come back and repair, the time to come back for repair can be easily cut in half. 2. #1 got compounded by not ordering all the parts needed to repair, also not enough of the parts came in on the 3rd service call (not sure if that is technician order error or your distributor). To repair my 3 appliances took over a month and 4 service calls to get done. 3. Before the 4th visit, I called the dispatch to tell them that, still, only 1 part was in the box and there should be two. Luckily we had enough time to order and receive another by the 4th call, I think it makes more sense to receive the parts at the technician's house or at the office so that the client isn't burdened with the shop's responsibility. 4. Multiple charges to my card, it makes way more sense to just have the client pay half up front (one charge), then pay the rest when work is complete. Each part is charged to my card, then labor for each visit as the technician completed an appliance that he could close out.
