A customer reported an issue with their vintage Whirlpool top-load washer, which was leaking water onto the floor. Upon inspection, I identified the source of the leak as a failing water inlet valve assembly. This assembly is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the washer during the fill cycle. Over time, the valve's internal components can wear out, leading to leaks. I carefully disassembled the washer to access the water inlet valve assembly. After confirming the valve's failure, I replaced it with a new one, ensuring a proper fit and secure installation. Following the replacement, I tested the washer to confirm that the leak was resolved and that the machine was functioning correctly. The customer was pleased with the repair and the restored functionality of their washer.
