Upon receiving a call about an Electrolux dryer emitting a grinding noise, I promptly attended to the issue. Upon inspection, I identified the source of the problem as the idler pulley. This component is crucial for the smooth operation of the dryer drum. I carefully removed the old, worn-out idler pulley and replaced it with a new one. This involved detaching the belt from the motor pulley and carefully sliding it onto the new idler pulley. I then secured the idler pulley assembly back into place. After ensuring everything was correctly aligned, I tested the dryer to confirm that the grinding noise had ceased and the dryer was functioning properly. The customer was pleased with the resolution and the dryer returned to optimal performance.
