The reason for today’s visit was due to several reasons. First reason was the fact that the smoke detectors are all chirping and showing a replacement needed indicator light on all the units. The existing units in the home are known to have issues requiring replacement. The second issue was that many of the lights in the house are flickering and falling out of the ceiling. The type of lights are 6 inch LED disc lights that snap in as opposed to being screwed up to the ceiling fixture box. This is a known issue with these lights, which is why we no longer use these. In order to properly repair them I would need to replace them. My recommendation is to replace all of them to avoid this happening in other locations as well. The third final issue is the fact that the kitchen receptacle breakers are constantly tripping, which is also a known issue with these BR style breakers so my recommendation is to swap those out with new breakers. We have delivered pricing for the new 200A service upgrade as well as the installation of a customer supplied EV charger with dedicated circuit.
Ran a new 240 volt 60 amp line from the main panel in the front right corner of the home up through the finished ceiling. We fished wire out to the garage on the back of the home and installed a 60 amp breaker disconnect. We ran pvc from the new disconnect to the hard wired car charger and wired accordingly. We are supplying an electrical permit and scheduling a county inspection of finished work.
