I had TE install an Ethernet port, so I could have better up time while working from home than just WiFi. Then we looked at other issues in my house since it is roughly 32 years old, and we've been here about 8 years. Our electrical grounding system was no long installed correctly (the system was not longer connected to the single rod, so that got fixed - better system inside and two grounding rods outside with correct spacing. We got new smoke detectors and a whole home surge protector. A prior electrician had at some point, broken part of the breakers to make them fit the bus bar, so we had all of our breakers replaced. There's more work to do since some breakers may be over wired, but I'm glad to know that we are on the right path. I'd prefer to pay for work done right than pay a bit less for half done or make shift work.
