Re deviced entire home added arch fault breakers replaced attic junction box wire nuts with proper wire nuts suited for aluminum to copper conversion
Customer called wanting a new outlet installed. Installed outlet under two gang switch box in back right office using existing wiring. Tested and working fine. Customer is happy with the installation
Customer called wanting to replace an FPE breaker with another customer supplied breaker. Informed customer about the history of these panels and why we don’t service them. Left options for replacement
Troubleshoot and repair kitchen light switch controlling overhead light and sink light not working properly, includes replacing the 3 smart switches and correcting all connections in the junction box and repairing connections in living room switch box. Found incorrect splices copper and aluminum connections in kitchen 3 gang junction box. Replaced 3 smart switches with standard switches, made correct copper to aluminum pigtails. Kitchen lights are not working properly with newer wiring indicating an attic junction box with loose connections. Lights also have no junction boxes. Informed customer that there needs to be junction boxes installed in order to safely connect the lights fixtures. Also discussed making the correct type copper to aluminum connections throughout the rest of the home. Left options for all work described including adding AFCI protection (required as per code with pigtails), surge protection and a new circuit to the back patio
Customer had a two wire system with two prong plugs and no ground. White wanted to install three prong plug so explained what is going to be required when we update the system to three prong outlets. Calling back next Thursday” is good for 30 days.
Met onsite with city inspector to pass the final inspection.
Returned to installed interlinked smoke detectors in all required locations and answered any questions and concerns customer had everything working properly.
Customer called about intermittent power loss as well as flickering lights throughout the home. Found meter base and panel enclosure is arcing. Nipple between panel and meter is fused together as well as significant heat damage to the main breaker lugs in the panel. Left option for replacement
Submitted photo to inspector per his request and passed the final inspection. Scheduled a warranty return for issue with toilet. Scheduled backfill for today as well with customer preference mounded at tunnel opening so it can settle properly.
Customer wanted quote on fixing service mast that has wires very close and about to touch and explained that we will only replace the whole thing if we work on it due to liability issues. Customer will give us a call back when he is ready for the work to be done. Quote is only good for 30 days.
Added educated circuit for dining room with 3 outlets added floodlight outside of garage also replaced 2 front sconse lights and 2 back lights replaced existing doorbell and made sure circuit was arch fault protected
