1. Set junction box in attic 2. Rerun switch leg down to plug 3. Replace plug and junction box Thursday 2-5 Blake@calltoptech.com Customer had AT&T come out to house and run Internet wire in the attic and drilled right beside 120 V circuits feeding down the wall for an outlet. Drilled three holes and for some reason couldn’t get through the 2 x 4 top plate and then moved their paddle bit right beside the wire And it jumped off 2 x 4 and hit the wire and nicked it causing breaker to trip. Explain to customer, I will have to install a junction box in the attic and feed down the wires, feeding the outlet due to the nick in the wire being right above the top plate. Also explained that there could be fireblocking in walls meaning I will also have to cut a hole to fish wire down through the fireblocking and we will not repair it.

Customer needed a plug added under cooktop due to the new gas cooktop needing a plug for the igniter. Had to sleeve the wire that was going to AJ box under the cooktop and also I had to replace the breaker that was mislabeled in the panel and labeled AC unit and was on a two pole 30 amp breaker. Had to install 120 V single pole 20 amp breaker to be able to install the outlet. Had to replace junction box installed plug with new outlet tested and everything is working on our side and has 120 V on the outlet. Found other concerns with the electrical panel having heat damage and explained to customer and will return to talk to son about situation with the heat damage and other items. Five year warranty on the plug and the breaker that I installed.
