Today in Tacoma, WA, I completed a fire alarm installation for a commercial property. I installed multiple smoke detectors and heat sensors, ensuring full coverage of the building. The system was connected to a central monitoring station for 24/7 response. After testing the alarms and backup power, the system is fully operational and ready to protect the property.
Replaced (4) 12v 75ah batteries on FACP. (20) 12v 8ah batteries on all NAC boosters.
Performed 12-year hydrostatic test on kitchen fire suppression system cylinder. Removed cylinder and conducted visual internal inspection. Filled with water and applied test pressure as per NFPA 17A requirements. Examined for leaks or permanent deformation. Dried thoroughly and recharged with appropriate agent. Updated service tags and system documentation. Stressed critical nature of this testing to ensure cylinder integrity.
