I performed maintenance on a Watts Series 909 Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer. This included disassembling the check valves and relief valve, cleaning all components to remove debris, replacing worn O-rings and seals, and reassembling the unit. I then conducted a forward flow test and a backflow test to ensure the device operated correctly and met water safety standards.
I installed new Amerex B500 fire extinguishers and a Notifier NFS2-3030 fire alarm system in a commercial building. The process involved strategically placing extinguishers for optimal accessibility, programming the alarm panel for specific zones, installing smoke detectors and manual pull stations, and integrating the system with the building's emergency response protocol. I concluded with a comprehensive system test to ensure functionality and compliance.
