I think that deciding to find home care for my mom has been one of the toughest decisions I have ever made. At first I felt guilty, and I thought I should somehow care for her all by myself. I was constantly stressed, though, and juggling too many things to really get her the care she needed. After a less than fantastic experience with another company, I found New Wave. Melanie has been caring for mom for a couple of months now, and the experience has been oh so positive. Mom is more engaged, and I am able to spend quality time with her because I'm less frazzled. My dad has dementia and I don't have to worry about his safety and forgetfulness. This service has caregivers who know how to work with the elderly and memory loss. It has taken stress off of me so that I can do things that I haven't been able to do, because I have been too busy with my dad. Dad likes his caregiver and has a companion to help him with his daily tasks.

The company is very accommodating and has great service. The caregivers that were sent to my mother's home was wonderful and made sure that mom was happy. They have good cooks and will run errands with her, so that she gets the needs she wants.

They provided us with great caregivers who bonded well with my mom. She took my mom for walks, out lunch with friends, to movies. The caregivers even found an art class in the area - my mom used to do watercolor paintings. Now she looks forward to going to class every week - she is so excited. The office staff supported us answering all of our questions. I felt so relieved to know my mom's care was in good hands.

My experience with New Wave Home Care has always been more than positive. My loved one is suffering from Parkinson's and there are real needs that must be addressed.
