Just wrapped up an AC repair for a no-cooling issue on a 4-ton Rheem system. The outdoor unit wasn’t running—diagnosed a failed contactor and a weak capacitor (only 27/5 µF vs rated 40/5). Replaced both components and restored 24V control voltage. Verified compressor start-up and measured refrigerant pressures—subcooling at 9°F, superheat at 14°F. System now has a 20°F temperature split and is cooling perfectly. Another no-AC call resolved fast with reliable service!
