Replaced damaged indoor coil for upstairs system. Pressurized unit and pulled vacuum to remove any contaminants from lines. Charged system with refrigerant and verified pressures were acceptable and within range. System is cooling efficiently at this time.
Air Conditioning Repair AC Service Complaint unit upstairs not cooling Found upstairs unit low on gas, customer did not want to recharge unit until leak is fixed, found leak in evaporator coil, will need to give customer a quote for a new coil
AC Service Complaint unit not keeping up Found unit low on r22 adds 1.5 lbs. customer would like to see if it gets them through the summer. Cooling at this time. Cannot guarantee refrigerant. Let customer know options on leak search and ball park estimate for new coil or new unit. Without conducting leak search there’s no guarantee where it is, but generally indoor coils leak so I wanted to give them an idea of cost if we took the next step.
4 ton 16 SEER2 heat pump installation
AC Repair Replaced shorted contactor. Refrigerant charge looks excellent at this time
Heating Repair Amber describing symptom of what can really only be a bad sequencer. Replaced to be sure. Capacitor was so weak motor sounded bad. 1.9 out of 7.5 microfarads and temp rise high due to low RPM. Saw much better temp after replacement and customer noted it sounded much better on startup. Heating well at this time.
HVAC Repair Complaint of fan running continuously. X13 motor is bad. Quoted for replacement tomorrow on my way home $650 per Pete. Motor replaced. Heating at this time
Complaint No Cool. System was 1 pound low on refrigerant, added refrigerant and verified operation. Filter also needs replaced. System is cooling efficiently at this time.
AC Repair Complaint unit not keeping up System was short cycling upon arrival. Found a few loose wires that may have been the cause. After securing wires and testing system multiple times, it appears to be operating normally. Pressure switches didn’t appear to be failing. And control board, while it does look a little worn, doesn’t seem to be struggling with operating system. Recommend customer monitors for any changes in operation to determine if further investigation is necessary. Control board or pressure switch could still be the cause of the issue. Customer may want to sign up for a service plan.
Gave quote for complete duct system and 17 SEER York heat pump
NO heat found intake vent packed with snow. Cleaned out snow, shoveled around flue, system heating at this time
