Our HVAC system failed last night. This morning we called Comfort Central and they dispatched a technician, Cameron, to check out our system. Cameron quickly diagnosed the problem and took corrective action — all before 11 am! Cameron was very professional and kept us advised on what he was doing and how to more efficiently use the system. Highly recommend Comfort Central!!

Found generic transfer box locking out AC unit not allowing it to come on but works in test mode. Removed generac from the circuit to check operation of system. Everything appears to run normally again. No recommended changes at this time. Would like to keep the may 2nd time up date to reassess and check unit operation at that time.
Performed spring maintenance on downstairs and upstairs systems. Cleaned all coils and cleared condensate drains. Down stairs system is working great. Compressor is pulling 3 amps and outdoor fan is pulling 1 amp. Indoor blower is pulling 1 amp. Had a 20 degree temperature difference between return and supply Upstairs unit was a little low on refrigerant, added 1.5 pounds and tested system operation. System is now working properly Compressor is pulling 5 amps Outdoor fan motor is pulling.9 amps Indoor blower is pulling 1.2 amps Had a 19 degree temperature difference between return and supply.
Replaced blown low voltage fuse. Moved low voltage wires at outdoor unit where they appeared to be wearing against line set where it enters the house. Checked operation. Working now. Carrier MN FV4CNF005. SN. 214A85816 2014. 8K
Installed new coupling assembly, and tested system operation. Everything is now working properly.
CO of 10 ppm. O2 of 14%. Filter was dirty and needs a replacement. Removed loose insulation from blower wheel (see attached). Checked blower amps and cap. Burners are relatively clean and rust free. Reprogrammed thermostat schedule to homeowner specifications. Furnace is heating normally.
CO 3 ppm, O2 11%. Filters already changed by homeowner. Brushed off burners. Burners are clean. Tested pan float switch. Brushed out both drain traps. No sign of water damage in or around the furnace. Checked blower wheel and inducer. System starting up with normal order of operation. Gas valve falls to 0 ppm on shutdown. System is functioning normally.
Performed heating maintenance tune up on gas furnace system checking all electrical components, cleaning of flame sensor and burners, checking all safeties, zones, servicing of humidifier, performed full combustion analysis, blowout and treated drain lines, checked unit start up, operation, shut down. Everything looks and runs great! No recommended changes to furnace system at this time.

No cooling caused by generac load shedder not allowing unit to come on as load shedder has failed. Recommend load shedder to be checked out by certified generator repair professional. Bypassed load shedder in service disconnect and cycled unit to check operation. Converted to tune up service and performed tune up today checking all electrical, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shut down. Cleaning of indoor and outdoor coils and drain lines. Everything looks and runs great! No additional recommended changes at this time.

ULTIMATE COOLING TUNE UP - BROAN AIR CONDITIONER Delta T of 19. Changed filters in Furnace and Humidifier. Blew out drain trap. Blower is clean. Coils are clean. Treated outdoor condenser with coil cleaner. Outdoor unit is not level and will require 2-3 bags of gravel.
Delta T of 20. Suction 103. Liquid 221. Subcooling 2. Brushed out drain trap. Checked blower, coil, and caps. Treated outdoor unit with coil cleaner. System is functioning normally.
HVAC Service for Dual System - One unit not turning on and adding extra strain on second unit. Not able to cool both floors. Estimate for HVAC replacement.
