Over all interaction with the company from start to finish was fantastic. Very convenient when booked on Thumbtack, the call back, booking, reminders to the day of service. Christian was great on teaching me about the water system setup and how everything works, what i should expect for starting\ending each season. Great for this newbie, since I never owned a water irrigation system before.

While the technician was very polite and professional, I believe I was oversold on the solution. I had a single zone stuck on, and the solution was ultimately to replace valves in all 7 zones at $175 each. It seems unlikely that all 7 zones failed at the same time. Given the parts required for the valve replacement are about $15 each and the time to replace is about 15 minutes, $175 is a hefty markup -- especially when it seems the technician was essentially guessing at my expense. Furthermore, now that zone 1 (the stuck zone) is working, it appears zone 1 has a broken pipe, as water is bubbling up through my patio right above what I believe is a zone 1 pipe. Given I have a broken pipe and mysterious valve failure, makes me wonder a bit if the blowout last season is somehow involved.

Valve box was packed full of dirt from chipmunks. Cleaned out valve box and identified master valve and zone valves 1-4. All wire connections appear ok. Located zone valve #5 in separate box in the back, with separate shutoff valve under slop sink. Advised customer and winterized from separ
Upon arrival spoke with homeowner about winterizing system. He informed me that there could be a possible repair in backyard for his next-door neighbor mentioned that there was water leaking onto his property so homeowner turned irrigation water off. While trying to winterize, I found the backflow was not holding pressure from internals, informed homeowner and got approval to repair internals. After repaired, then tried to winterize again, heard a noise in backyard middle, under pavers, informed homeowner of possible broken pipe. I seen a few heads, tried to winterize, but due to lack of pressure from this break they were unable to fully rise. Need to repair poly break under pavers before commencing with winterization. Homeowner said he has a masonry person that will be available to lift pavers up then to put back even when we are done with repair. Please call homeowner to schedule with masonry on how to get repair done efficiently.
