Sprinkler & Light System Repairs

We hired Andy’s Sprinklers to do a review of our sprinkling and outdoor lighting systems after the big DFW area snow storm, as the lights no longer worked and it was clear that some of our sprinkling system were damaged by the extreme cold. We were serviced by a team led by Coby Henslee, and we are very happy that Coby was our technician. Coby was on-schedule, and he kept me up to date with his expected arrival time. Coby was very efficient with his time upon arrival, and he leads a very capable crew for trouble-shooting and repairing our larger-than-normal sprinkling system. What we were really thankful for though was Coby’s unrivaled and pretty much flawless ability to understand our very complicated and expansive outdoor lighting system and then (1) diagnose its problems and then (2) effectuate cost-effective and long-lasting repairs. Our lighting system was not damaged by the cold weather directly, but due to the extreme cold, a nest of rats took comfort in the low voltage wires as they warmed up with current. Rats being what rats are, they chewed through the cables to get at the heat source and essentially killed 100% of our lighting circuits. Coby was extremely thorough and diligent in tracking down each and every lighting circuit to implement a repair, and the work was not easy as the wires ran under our deck, around & through masonry work and was partially in ground. I was impressed that Coby was able to do the work he did in the time frame that he estimated and for the price he promised. Coby did an EXCELLENT job all around (lights and sprinklers) and we were impressed with both his ability to lead/teach his crew while undertaking the more complicated lighting repairs on his own. Perhaps most importantly, through the use of 100% conduit up to our LV transformer, the low voltage wires are now inside PVC piping so that for the next Snowmageddon, the rats will no longer be able to get at exposed wires and damage my system. Completing the repairs in total was not cheap, but only because the number of places that needed to be repaired due to rats was large. Coby, however, did the work in the most cost-effective, professional and long-term minded fashion. I am very happy generally that I selected Andy’s for the work and exceptionally happy that Coby was the lead service technician. JMF Grand Prairie, TX
