Water damage inspection in Draper Utah. This customer is actually been living in the home for 2 years as a tenant and it's just now in the process of purchasing it. He had a home inspector do a regular inspection and was concerned about mold and the home inspector referred us to do a mold inspection for him. We were able to give him good news, there was no evidence of mold or prior water damage.
Water damage cleanup does not need to be this hard! We met with our customer today to settle up on the water damage cleanup and repair work that we did for them in their house. The only difficult part about this job was the adjuster. This adjuster went out of his way to literally do the wrong thing over and over again. Even with a dozen reminders and request there was still one portion of the work we did that was yet to be reimbursed.
Water damage Cleanup in Draper Utah. In this home the water came from the bathroom above and soak the insulation in the ceiling of this basement bedroom. When the insulation gets soaked there's not many good options generally the drywall and the insulation needs to come down. The problem with furnishing supply air from the crawl space is the crawl space is not a clean area. This crawl space happens to have mold. The odor is not noticeable today and remains a mystery, but we did rule out mold, the odor is not mold related. She had me check three other areas while I'm here. We found mold in two of the three areas. One was from an ice damming event and the other was an area that did not get dried out from a flood in the basement.

Mold inspection in Sandy Utah. The picture is not the mold that we found, but of the roof which is one of the contributing factors. Ground water has been coming in the basement through the foundation. The ground near the home is saturated because of a negative slope towards the house and roof and rain gutter issues. A large section of the roof slopes toward a small rain gutter that is clogged from pi e needles and debris. It needs to be cleaned and monitored on a regular basis.
Water damage repairs Sandy Utah. The tile floor looks great. We are hooking up the washer and dryer. The drywall and painting repairs will begin in a few days, the homeowners wanted to be able to use their washer and dry in the mean time. I like their choice of tile, but I would have gone darker on the grout.
