Customer had a disconnected trap below sink strainer on right hand compartment in kitchen sink. Also noted rusting on the strainer indication a leak there. Replaced the sink strainer and reconnected the existing trap. Tested to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Also left price for new power venting water heater since the existing on is almost 20 years old and required proactive replacement due to the excessive age.

Came out for possible sewer leak. While homeowner was showing us where the water was coming into the house and saturating outside, I heard hissing noise coming from the waterline. Shut the valve inside and checked the meter. It was continuously spinning. Realized issue was the service line was leaking outside the foundation wall. Dug up and found pinhole at the foundation wall. Had to rebore a new hole through the foundation. Installed 2” pvc sleeve and sealed with hydraulic cement. Ran 1” pex back through the foundation wall and tied back into existing plumbing inside. Opened meter to confirm it had stopped spinning. Finished sealing repair and cleaned up. Backfilled dirt and respread out pine straw. No further issue at this time. 1 year warranty on repaired section only.

Customer had a toilet in basement that was stopped up from cleaning supplies. Ran water in bathroom to ensure that it was only affecting the toilet. Ran an auger to clear stoppage. Cautioned the customer that depending on what went down, that it could also end up clogging the pump if the auger doesn’t catch it and pull it back. Also cautioned the customer that it can cause cosmetic damage to run the auger. Flushed toilet multiple times and it was flushing fine. Flushed until the pump kicked off to ensure proper function. Noted a weak flush on the toilet. Made small adjustments to help in he tank and ultimately recommended replacement or holding the handle when flushed.

Customer had staining around vent below upstairs primary shower. Customer showed video of water dripping through. This occurred when the shower was on and unattended so that path the water took is unknown. Checked the trap and it’s still holding water. Customer just replaced the shower head, so tested the vertical riser and shower arm by removing the shower head, installing a cap, and turning the water on. No water leaked from the vertical riser or shower arm. Next, removed the drain cover and stopped the drain up. Filled the fiberglass pan with water and let it sit. Still no water leaking from above. Finally, released the water and drained a large amount of water rapidly and no water leaked. Noted two areas, each at the corner of the sliding shower door, where there was water damage in the drywall and wood. Made customer aware that water is likely leaking near the corners of the doors and getting past the seal and around the shower doors due to a lack of sealing. Recommended having th
