Customer had a dripping noise in the garage area. The garage area is unfinished and has access below the subfloor. Customer said it had a metallic sound when dripping and only when the shower is run. However the area pointed out as having the sound isn’t near drain lines. Made sure there were no active leaks and saw no signs of new water leaking through the floor or pipes. Informed customer it was likely due to expansion or contraction in the pipes and the hot water made the pipes shift. House pressure is in a safe range of 70 psi. Customer had questions regarding the caulking around the tub. Made customer aware that we don’t do that kind of work, but recommended a tub and tile company to see if it needed grout or caulk. Customer had questions regarding staining on the subfloor below the shower and possible structural integrity questions for the subfloor.
