Again, Excellent Service

The plumber, Gio, was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided an excellent analysis of my two water heater systems, and he provided options for eventually replacing my electric tank water heater. He serviced my propane tank-less water heater, and, because of its age, he provided replacement options for that water heater. I have used My Georgia Plumber a few times, and i have been completely satisfied every time.

While inspecting the water heater we found that the thermal expansion tank has failed due to age/normal wear. We cut the water to the heater and removed the old tank. We then prepped and replaced the tank with a new one. We restored the water and everything functioned normally. Resolution/Recommendations: Upstairs toilet flapper and handle replaced. Clog cleared in downstairs toilet with handheld plunger. Disposal jam cleared with disposal wrench. Failed thermal expansion tank removed and replaced. Job notes: Job status: Complete

Customer stated: kitchen sink is leaking. Technician notes: We arrived and were directed to the issue. The sink in the kitchen is a dual sink with a disposal on the right side. The tubular under the sink is leaking from the packing nut that is joined with the disposal and the nut joined with the ptrap. We removed the tubular from the disposal and removed the ptrap and found that the gaskets were no longer sealing due to age/normal wear. We replaced the gaskets and reassembled the tubular drainage. We tested the drain from both sinks and had no leaks. Resolution/Recommendations: Replaced two gaskets on tubular drainage under the kitchen sink on the disposal side. Tested after reassembly and drain functioned normally with no leaks. Job notes: Job status: Complete

Technician notes: We arrived and investigated the issue. The toilet in the upstairs bathroom was continuously running because of a failure of the flapper and handle. We removed and replaced the handle and flapper for the upstairs toilet. We tested the toilet multiple times and it functioned normally. The downstairs toilet was clogged. We checked the toilet and then utilized a handheld plunger. We were able to successfully clear the clog with the plunger. The toilet was then tested multiple times and functioned normally. The disposal was not functioning properly. We checked the disposal and found that it was jammed. We used a disposal wrench and successfully cleared the jam. We then ran water and tested the disposal. The disposal functioned normally and drained properly with no leaks. While inspecting the water heater we found that the thermal expansion tank has failed due to age/normal wear. **ANNAUL WATER HEATER FLUSH** Tech Notes: Upon inspection I found that there are two water heaters for this home. There is a standard electric 50 gallon tank located in the garage, which is 20 years of age. There is also a rinnai tankless unit located in the basement of home which is also 20 years of age. I let the home owner know that due to the age of the existing tank I would not be able to perform the flush as there are liability issues, and could cause more damage to the tank. I did make him aware I would be able to perform the tankless flush. I let him know I would highly recommend replacing the existing electric water heater due to the age of this unit, and condition it would be more beneficial/proactive. I presented options to have this done through service, and the h/o elected to wait on making any further decisions. Resolution: I was able to successfully perform tankless water heater flush with no issues. Recommendation: I recommend having at the very least the existing
