CUSTOMER STATED: Customers kitchen Drain line was backed up, First technician that American home shield sent out, did not properly diagnose the issue and left before starting the job. They had an emergency leak on Sunday which they had their own service contractor come out to replace the cracked cast iron. When other technicians sent his small machine down the pipe, it broke his equipment. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Technician found that the kitchen drain is draining, extremely slow due to the age of the cast iron and most likely kitchen grease that developed over the course of the 50 years The home was built. All the cast-iron about 30 to 40 feet looks like it was improperly installed with no proper incline which Is causing the water to backflow in the other direction. RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS: Due to the other technician breaking his equipment, we will not be sending down any of our equipment down that pipe due to risk of Breaking.
