We arrived today to take a look at a high water bill. The homeowner made us aware that the city left him a notice of a high water bill. He made us aware that he realized a toilet was running, and that he has repaired that issue since. We began by going into the crawlspace and checked out the main water line coming into the home, and the water heater. No leaks or standing water were noticed. We then checked the meter, which detected 0 gallons of flow over a 10 minute observation. This lets us know that a main water line leak, or buried issue exists. At this time, the high water usage has been addressed. I waived the dispatch fee.
