Just finished quarterly hydrant inspections for Garner business district. Checked 12 hydrants for proper operation, flow rates, and accessibility. Two hydrants needed cap replacements and one required lubrication of the operating nut. Flushed all units to remove sediment buildup. Documented flow rates between 890-1250 GPM depending on location. Updated GPS coordinates for town's emergency services database. All hydrants now fully operational and properly marked. Great working with Garner Fire Department personnel who were on site during testing. Will submit detailed report to municipal water department tomorrow.
