Arrived at location on 10/5/21 - Inspected equipment for leaks. Sealed penetration on top of box with spray foam. Found drain pan full of ice and distributor frozen up. Drain line froze shut due to a bad drain heater. Forced into defrost to loosen pan and found terminal 3 on defrost clock melted. Replaced clock and tested. Old clock was set at 20 min defrosts, set new clock the same because coil was clear when I arrived. Located a new drain heater at a local hardware store. Picked up and returned. Cut out drain and thawed pan enough to drop it and get the ice out. Thawed distributor and found a small leak where the TXV stub is attached to the distributor. Ice around it had a unique texture and a yellow tint. Called Russel distributor for parts availability and haven’t heard back yet. Installed pan, re-piped drain, installed drain heater, and insulated. Sealed box drain penetration with spray foam. Receiver is 90% full and dye is visible in compressor sightglass. This l
