Fixed leaking connection on undersink RO system. Found crack in housing of second stage filter. Replaced housing unit and all O-rings while on site. Also noticed flow restrictor was partially clogged - cleaned thoroughly. System now operating properly with no leaks. Performed complete sanitization while system was disassembled. Checked TDS levels before and after repair - system now reducing TDS by 97%. Recommended replacing all filters since they were nearing end of service life anyway. Quick 1-hour job, all cleaned up!
Completed scheduled maintenance on a whole-home water filtration system in Alden today. The system consists of a sediment pre-filter, activated carbon filter, and water softener. Replaced all filter cartridges which showed significant sediment accumulation after 6 months of use. Cleaned and sanitized filter housings according to manufacturer protocols. Inspected brine tank and performed thorough cleaning to remove salt bridges that were affecting regeneration cycles. Recalibrated flow meter which was under-reporting water usage by approximately 15%. Checked all connections for leaks and replaced two worn O-rings on the main housing. Performed water quality test post-maintenance: iron levels reduced from 0.3ppm to <0.1ppm, chlorine effectively removed, and water hardness now at optimal 3 grains. System is operating at peak efficiency with properly sequenced regeneration cycles. Customer reported significant improvement in water taste and clarity following service.
