The sales process was great and I was very happy with the service and installation. Everyone was very friendly. I wish they would have shared more details, or that I would have known to ask-- they said the wood would be lighter and better, but did not tell me the decorative frame was plastic- or that with my double hung windows they should have sold me an outside mount or made me aware that after the plantation shutters were installed I could no longer open the window to wash it or hang wreaths at Christmas.

Misled By Salesperson, Outstanding Product, Would Still Recommend

First off, the plantations shutters were bought from Beltway Blinds (BB) are awesome. They did an excellent job installing them too. High quality and a fair price. What we remain unhappy about is the nearly four months it took from order to install -- that is well below industry average. So here's what happened so it does not happen to you: Salesperson arrives, offers their best price. This was around the third week of Jan 2017. We weren't ready to buy as we were spending on other projects and BB wanted 50% down. I suggested 10% down, and a phone call was made to a supervisor who approved it. After the call, I said I would even be willing to pay the other 40% in on March 1, with the final 50% at install. We signed the paperwork and were looking forward to our shutters in 8-10 weeks. March 1 comes along and even though I was supposed to call in to give approval for them to charge my credit card, it was charged for the 40% first thing in the morning. Around mid-March, someone finally comes out and takes detailed measurements. By the end of April, still no shutters. I inquire and they tell me my order was not placed until they received the 50% down payment. That important detail was not conveyed to me verbally or in writing at any point previously. By mid-May, 10 weeks after they received our complete deposit, and ~16 weeks from when we signed the contract, our shutters were ready. I would never have signed the contract had I known giving them 10% at that point would do nothing. That is my only complaint about this transaction as the product is great and the installation was great. Thanks.

Guys ran late but Beltway called w/new time. Seems they had problems with a installation. When they got here job only took 45 minutes for 9 windows and they did a great job. Wore booties and did cleanup.

We love our new plantation shutters. One thing I wish the estimator was aware of - there is a ceiling fan in extremely close proximity to the shutters when they open. Cannot have the fan on when opening the shutters 😞 Disappointing this was not taken into consideration. It would be nice if this could be adjusted.
