Just performed a Routine Maintenance and Tune Up on a 23 year old Lennox Heat Pump in North East Maryland. Definitely needs some love if it wants to be kept running for as long as possible. With the age of the unit, I recommend getting into the mindset of buying a new one in the future. After having both Capacitors replaced (both are very low), I would feel confident to say that will have no issues heating your home. Still running and still heating, so save that money!
