We had a water leak and called CPI Plumbing. We got an appointment for the very next day and our technician Aaron was awesome! Not only did he call ahead and was able to come early, but he was super kind, informative, friendly and professional. He not only fixed our water leak but then we discovered several of our toilets weren’t working. He got us accurate estimates for repair and we opted to have new toilets installed. Customer has a Triangle Tube Instinct 155 Boiler and it is having intermittent failure to ignite issues. We have checked all readings and everything checks out except we are not able to get the combustion readings into the required ranges per factory tech support. In the past when we have seen this issue we have replaced the gas valve to get the adjustments into range. After talking with tech support they suggested replacing the gas valve and also the venturi assembly. Confirmed with factory that boiler has partial extended warranty and parts will be provided to us at no cost. Labor is only covered to a small fee so labor prices will apply for the work. We completed the job walk, we saw where they want to relocate the washer and dryer from inside of a bathroom to the mechanical room down the hall. Also took a look underneath the house to see if the sketched out new floor plan that they would like to do in that bathroom would work off of the current plumbing, from everything that we could see somebody has oversize the system and it will work. Each one of those quotes was for waste and water only no demolition work of any type that has to be performed by others.

Arrived onsite to customer requesting service on boiler system. Offered customer membership pricing for basic service. Ran membership while onsite. Went through system and found that it had no CO leaks or gas leaks present. Energized multiple zones and found boiler pump and CH pump to come on at appropriate times. Lowered set point on all systems and ensured each Telestat head opened. When all zones were satisfied boiler system continued to run and CH pump was still running. At this point presented customer pricing for diagnostic to determine the issue and pricing for new Telestat head which was believed to be causing the issue. After diagnostic found that a Telestat had on the kitchen zone was permanent in having its end switch on. Unwired the end switch and ensured that this resolved the issue by noticed the boiler was on standby mode and would fire when thermostats were adjusted. Arrived onsite to customers complaint of no heat and no hot water, found an ignition failure error code. Unit is 1 year old. High winds were happening yesterday, inlet gas pressure is 10.5 inches wc. Manifold pressure on outlet side was jumping all over the place. Spark electrode was 1/8” away from flame sensor like it should be. Spark electrode was sparking. Attempted to adjust fan speed in manual mode, however it would not let me, it stated fan error. This issue is likely a bad fan, we will need to confirm with triangle tube tech support before we swap out the fan motor. Was able to get the boiler to start working again by powering it off for a few minutes. I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work properly. Will contact triangle tube tech support Monday, and call the customer afterwards. November 4th, unit has been running fine for a week now. Checked inlet vent pipe, found a feather and some debris stuck in foam. This is likely what caused the unit to not work last week. Cl
Customer stated drain line in crawlspace had cracked when customer attempted to repair drain line. Provided estimate to replace section of drain line and customer agreed to work. Cut out 3 inch fitting and installed new 3x2 inch combo and connected onto 1 1/2 drain for kitchen sink. Tested sink verifying proper drainage and no leaks present. Removed old gate valve and replaced with quarter turn ball valve. The old gate valve appears to have failed due to freeze damage.Payment was not processed fully due to poor service on site. After installing the new ball valve we tested for leaks and none were present, pressure tank showed 40-60 psi under test. When checking inside fixtures we noticed low pressure at each fixture and the customers son suspects it may be due to bacteria growth from the well water due to the filtration system being in bypass for several months after being serviced by a well company. Removed aerators in the kitchen and bathroom and found sediment, but after removing sediment the fixtures were still receiving low pressure. Checked customer complaint about a clogged dump station line. Presented customer pricing to attempt to clear the drain with an auger. After pricing was approved I performed the augering of the drain. After augering for a while I was unable to clear the drain. I attempted to clear the drain with a water blow bag. I was unable to clear the drain. I used the camera to find the obstruction and discovered a hard blockage and that the line had nondirectional fittings. Presented customer pricing to replace the drain line and the nondirectional fittings. The customer needed to get approval from management for the work to be performed. Customer called in for replacement of two hose bibs. Shut water off to system. Drained system. Removed existing hose bibs. Removed section of existing piping. Installed new hose bibs. Arrived on site per customer complaint of a leak at his toilet. Customer had a round front toilet that he believed the wax seal to be compromised and was allowing water to leak onto the floor. The seat of the toilet had also been cracked. Customer expressed interest in replacement options. Presented pricing for replacement of toilet. Customer moved forward with a pressure assisted toilet. Water to the toilet had already been shut off. Drained excess water to toilet and removed existing toilet. Under the toilet was a plastic wax-free seal with gaskets which were warped and showed signs of damage. Removed seal and replaced with wax ring. Removed existing flange bolts and closet supply and replaced with new ones. Assembled and installed new Kohler Pressure Assisted toilet, ensuring good compression of wax ring. Checked customer complaint about a leaking angle stop. The customer had a leaking angle stop in one of the cabins and needed it replaced. Shaun gave permission for John the maintenance tech to approve pricing. Presented customer pricing to replace the angle stop with a new one. After pricing was approved John turned off the water and I bled the system. Performed removal of the existing angle stop after the existing angle stop was removed I installed the new angle stop. John turned on the water and we checked for leaks. The new angle stop performed as designed and there were no leaks when last checked. The customer was happy with the new angle stop. There was two leaks next to each other in a concrete irrigation box, both leaks are from the pipes rubbing against the concrete box and wore a hole in them overtime. The pipe is thin wall poly and three-quarter inch in size. The soil is all sand around the box so we were able to lift it out of the ground easily while using our hands to expose the leaks and cut them out and made the repairs with 3/4” PEX. Turned water back on and tested for leaks. We also put a protective sleeve over the pipes that we made the repairs to why are you saying PVCDWV has an outer sleeve then place the concrete box back down and filled and hole.
Customer called in because he wanted his mainline rerouted with a shut off installation. Customer had water shut off to system when I arrived. Dewatered trench. Cut away section of mainline.
