Diagnosis

Very over priced. They came to my residence and had me sign a charge of 397 for a diag. Which they looked in the bathrooms and the garage and that's it. And tried to sell me on the membership about 3-4 times. Upon all that ending they quoted me 1800 dollars to replace 1 toilet I needed 3 That's 5400 for toilets. I went to home depot spent 500 on new toilets and had them installed in 20 mins.

- Arrived on site. - Explained what the membership would include to the homeowners. - Tested incoming water pressure and temperature at an outside hose bib. - Went around to all of the fixtures inside testing hot water temperature, checking for leaks, and anything not up to code. - I noticed they have 6 multi-turn angle stops which are prone to leaking and failure over time. - Drained and flushed hot water heater. Thank you for choosing CPI plumbing and Heating!

Checked customer complaint about an old water heater. The customer had an old water heater that they wanted replaced. Presented customer pricing to replace the water heater with a new one and install a replacement drip pan. After pricing was approved I laid down a rig to protect the customer’s floor from damage. I drained the old water heater and removed it along with the pan. After the existing water heater was removed I installed the new water heater and pan. The new water heater was installed with a new expansion tank, water flexes and earthquake straps. I turned on the water and power and tested for leaks with the customer. The temperature was set to 120 degrees as per customer’s request. The new water heater performed as designed and there were no leaks when last checked. The customer was happy with the new water heater. Manufacturer recommends not setting water heater temperature beyond 120 degrees to protect from scalding. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating.

Arrived on site and talked with customer about the problems with her furnace. After an agreement to diagnose, we inspected the thermostat and then moved down to the furnace in the basement. Furnace in the basement was displaying an error code that related to the flame rollout switch. Manually reset the flame rollout switch and gave it a call for heat. Once the furnace had fired, flames were clearly rolling out of the heat exchanger entrance, and the burner housing was getting hot to the touch. Took a low pressure switch reading and very low pressure was being provided to the switch. Proceeded to do the full KCM maintenance on the system to thoroughly verify the issue. Provided the customer with three options to replace the furnace. The customer decided to go ahead and replace it with a 95% furnace. Took measurements for replacement and photos and videos of the space where the furnace will be located. Collected half tip-off total at this time. Will come back to perform replacement when

Took a temperature reading from a supply register and got a reading of 89 degrees with a return of 71 degrees. The furnace is an American Standard 95% nat gas. Switched thermostat to emergency heating mode. The furnace kicked right on. Inlet gas pressure was 8.06 W. C. Inducer was pulling .16 A. Flame sensor was reading 2.1 micro amps. Blower motor was pulling 2.02 A. Took another temperature reading and got a reading of 111.8 degrees. Tested for carbon monoxide inside the home and got 0ppm. 2/6/23 Arrived on site to customer stating furnace blowing out cold air. Customer had a message to change air filter on thermostat. When testing strip heats in electric furnace, one of the strip heats had voltage going to it and the 2 others had no current draw. We let the customer know and showed them the readings from the voltage meter. Customer stated he would like pricing for a new like model of his current electric furnace. When inspecting main breaker box found that panel had one 60 amp breaker. Informed customer a line voltage electrician would have to come out and provide another set of wires due to the current draw of the new Furnace. New Furnace will be a 15KW Furnace and will need another two pole breaker to suffice current draw. Line voltage electrician will need to confirm proper wiring. Checked customer complaint about a bad water heater. The water heater was almost 8 years old. The customer had a water heater that would not turn on. Presented customer pricing to perform a diagnostic. After pricing was approved I checked the gas pressure at the manifold test port. The gas pressure needed to be at 10” WC. The gas pressure read at 0.5” WC. I tested the incoming gas pressure and it read at 11” WC. This is within the needed amount of gas pressure. This indicated that the gas valve needs to be replaced. I called Bradford white tech support and spoke with Greg and got the part number for a replacement gas valve. An estimate to replace the gas valve or replace the water heater will be sent to the customer as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating.
