During my inspection today, the customer greeted me at the front door. They allowed me to come inside and they showed me around to all the equipment. They showed me the air filter(s). It was a 12 x 20. They then showed me the thermostat. It was a Honeywell Nonprogrammable. They then showed me the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. I got started by turning the system off at the thermostat and made my way to the air handler. I inspected multiple different components on the system, including the blower wheel/motor, evaporator coil, drain line, ductwork, electrical connections/components, etc. I checked all of these components for proper operation and cleanliness. As well as to make sure that nothing was damaged. I made my way to the outdoor unit. On the outdoor unit I inspected multiple different components as well, including electrical connections/components, Condenser fan motor, Compressor, Motor amp draws, Refrigerant pressures(good), And the outdoor unit coil(clean). Other technica

The coil was clean. The blower motor was pulling .78A. Inspected the drain line, it is clean at this time. All wiring connections are right and secure. The refrigerant pressures were 102/227. The outdoor coil was super dirty, we cleaned it and it has proper airflow at this time. The capacitor is within range per manufacturer specifications. The contractor is not showing any signs of pitting. The filters for this system are clean at this time. We will be returning on Tuesday to install a UV photomax. At this time the system is running properly according to manufacturer specifications.

Upon arrival found drain line clogged again. Went outside, and found snake hanging around drain line. Showed and explained to customer that the snake could be getting inside and clogging the drain. We do not carry a small enough screen to keep small snakes out. Cleared drain line out and explained to customer they need to cover the drain so this stops happening. Again we can run a drain line out the sofet, and a price has been made. This is not a callback. Tried to call him(the husband) to get credit card and could not get ahold of him, we will need to call him again to get payment. Explained to wife if this does this again we will need to run the new drain line.

Arrive to the home knocked on the front door and customer greeted me at the front door. Customer stated that the system was blowing proper airflow but that the outdoor unit fan was not cutting on. Customer has stated that he had been getting it to kick on by bumping it with a screwdriver through the top of the unit and it was working for a while but then it eventually failed. I then asked to see where the indoor and outdoor units were located. Indoor unit Took an amp draw of indoor fan motor of 1.13 which is in range per manufacture specs. Examine indoor evaporator coil and blower wheel both are clean and free of debris at this time. Examined easy trap condensate drain and is clean and free of debris at this time. Outdoor unit Arrived at outdoor unit and found that the contactor was pulled in but the system was not running. I didn’t check the 35/5 capacito

Upon arrival spoke with customer and went to indoor unit. Pulled door off found no leaks on indoor coil, blower amped at 1.1amps. Coil was ice cold but felt hot on duct. Found white wire was getting call from state. Looked at stat and it is set up correctly. Explained to customer that the thermostat was bad. Also noticed no safety’s in system, priced up new stat, new safety’s, and also to pull white wire at unit so heat will stop. Customer explained he is going to fix it him self. System is working but not correct at this time.
